Judging from this cutscene, the ability to directly absorb strong echoes is like a "demon mode" of the Rover and not the current pet we got. It's sleeping for now so it could still be a "demonic" entity when provoked.

@@bloodmoon2345 i really want to see a "demonic" transformation playable with rover like devil may cry devil triggers, more specifically, the sin devil trigger. i feel some games lacks that type of power up and use way too much simple power ups like just getting stronger or having small physical changes, havoc rover already changing his weapon during his animations to a Scythe and using his wing in some of them is already a good step forward for me

The thing is, the Chinese community REALLY disliked how Chixia and the others were distrustful of the Rover even after they helped them defeat the Crownless. They absolutely hated it when Chixia pointed her gun at them, for instance. I agree they should not have edited it so drastically, but I'm just citing why it was changed.

This is what happen if you try to make game for "everyone", you cant fulfill everyone needs and taste, IMHO kurogames always make a high tense combat with combat mechanic that makes player always on edge and i think not everyone can do it, this old version has it, the current version try to make more of "middle ground", so "everyone" can play

I like this intro more, its more suited to the whole story, shows you exactly how weak and helpless other resonator are against overlord class TD, compared to our rover (the chosen one), and it also make the rover really a game changer, a hero that everyone needs

They 100% couldve kept the story changes with Chixia and the gang already being friendly to us because they know some of our past but also keep the crownless intro where he beats them up. Gives you a good organic reason to fight and makes the story much more involved if theres risk or consequences on display right from the start. A shame it got changed the way it did. It's still good but really feels watered down and lacking in direct comparison...

Been rewatching the CBT1 scenes they changed, these are so good storytelling wise. Why were they changed? Things make so much more sense here. Current story version felt like Wheaton Justice League. This feels like Zack Snyder's director's cut

Crazy how much better this was as an opening. None of these characters should have a reason to trust rover as much as they seem to in the current version, and this makes Yangyang far more unique by being the only one who believes in you from the start, enough to almost get herself killed saving you. Until Jinhsi calls, they shouldn't have any reason to be anything but extremely suspicious of you. And even then they should have doubts. Instead in the current version, Yangyang and Chixia are essentially the same character, and Baizhi is very slightly distrustful but even then, not enough to actually point a gun at us. I'd point a gun at somebody who just absorbed a monster with their bare hands until they could give me an explanation lmao

From what I know, this was altered because the Chinese players hated how Chixia and the others remained distrustful of the Rover after defeating the Crownless, and particularly disliked how Chixia pointed her gun at the Rover. I'm not 100% sure this was the reason, but it's what I saw in comments on other videos. But yeah, Kuro shouldn't have altered this scene so heavily. They should've kept the fight cutscene in and just changed how Chixia and the others treated the Rover afterwards. If they ever make a WuWa anime, I'd like to see them adapt this opening to it.

They can do like what Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. You actually fight the last boss for the intro of that game. You have skill? No sweat just don't get hit and win the fight. You don't have skill? Don't worry you will get a powerup and be invinsible after your life runs out. It caters to both side of the gamer skill.

So that's why the story is so horrible. Because they changed everything. What the f*ck were they thinking. Pandering to CN opinions and then now those same ppl are the ones that are still shtting on them today, and turning back to gi. (And if they're staying, crying about furry or male designs.) First impressions are important. Why didn't they just stick with their vision?? One year of writing, I heard, down the drain. And it pisses me off to no end because I wanted this game to be a threat. ...8 minute video, and I felt way more engaged than whatever happened in the actual game. How tf did they do it.

for those who doesn't know why this cutscene removed 1. they need to attract ppl with "Situational Awareness" to understand what's going on 2. the other Character would be so damn weak if they fall under 1 attack from boss class like this 3. the imbalance of power on those 3 character would be bad and there is no room for main character to enhance the power 4. its damn cringe 5. for you who doesn't understand martial art at all and just want to see some flashing flash movement, gtfo, chinese takes their pride on their martial art introduction, thats why im saying its cringe 6. for someone who just lost all his memories , rover can't possibly mad at something that hit the stranger and knock them out 7. in the recent update, rover began to deepen the bond between other character and MC, thus, leaving YangYang when rover's going to dreamless seems heavy it will be so damn long but im gonna stop here, any of you who understand the task on why they change this one can add in the comment section
