Love it! Relocated from NJ to Bridgeport CT. No storms like I used to get. Pity, love tstms in my neighborhood the lightning would get stolen before it hits the ground. Still want to experience a Midwestern thunderstorm! Love the thrill. Peace, be safe.

I grew up in upstate but my mother's family is from Westhampton, and I spent a lot of time on Eastern LI. Your video is one of the best thunderstorm videos I've seen. You might try Bryce Canyon. With their very high elevation, you might luck out. Storms tend to be brief there.

Awesome on this incredibly UN-forecasted BIGGGG Tstorm..just like that of 7/25/16....Billy..and I am with Jason all the way on what he wrote.....Very nice loud claps/crackles after the very bright flashers seen at 06:41, 09:18, 11:37, 13:08, 19:10, and 20:30...and also....glad you were NOT holding the camcorder in an inverted fashion..and TYSVM for the shoutouts to Jason..to Tom..and to me... Indeed...Billy..I do check your webbie every day..and those Tstorm forecasts seems like those in central FLORIDA....yyyyiehsss..... Hi James. Yeah this was really a good storm. I was still hearing some thunder from it at close to 10:00 PM last night! As I said to Jason, I believe my other phone has more sensitive microphones in it and the sound of thunder comes out better. So next time I will be using my previous phone to record video of storms. Your video was very nice. Great lightning show! I’m a little concerned about the flag pole hanging out during this kind of lightning. A house nearly burned down after lightning hit the flag pole attached to the house hear in Maryland. The occupants made it out safely. After the event, the rest of the nearby neighbors installed lightning rods on top of their homes.

After watching this all I can say is wow, and how I wish I would have a tstorm like this soon! This video was awesome on all levels, awesome lightning and thunder, and the nice sounding rain and wind! Also love your commentaries, and I am not sure how calm I would have been filming this one outside lol! Hopefully we all get more thunder soon, and thanks for the shoutout, and I am sure James and Tom will love this one! Speaking of Tom he uploaded a few rather nice tstorm videos as of late, and I got a decent lightning producer to my south, its my most recent upload. Thanks Jason for viewing and commenting. It was quite a storm. I can say without a doubt that my other phone (Microsoft Lumia 950) has better microphones in it and the sound quality is better for recording storms. The next storm I get I will be using my other phone to record. That is disappointing to me being I paid 850.00 plus tax for this new phone. I will check out your videos you recorded today sometime. wvigotty You are very welcome, this tstorm was absolutely amazing! The audio wasn't all that bad, but I hear you on how the louder claps sound a bit odd. @@patcola7335 Hi Pat. Yes, I was a Windows Phone user. I had the 950 as well before switching to this phone. Before that I had the Nokia Lumia 925 and also the 920. The 950 was the best phone until I got the Samsung Galaxy S9+ which I am still using to this day. I hope you enjoyed the video.

I got a Galaxy S10+ on July 26, 2019. Based on a second hand 2014 Galaxy S5 that I got, which has excellent audio recording, tested during a T-storm on August 13, 2016, I have to say that Samsung's been doing a very good job with the Galaxy S series, at least since 2014!

Wow very electrically charged storm ya got there. Seemed to even get better towards the end! August is good for that. Your S9 captures the lightning a lot better than my S8. I used to use a camcorder which was a lot better, but the process of downloading to PC before uploading was annoying. I'm looking into better video recording devices with direct KZbin connectivity.

Well, at least the audio recording was very good with my Galaxy S5, (2014) which I got in July, 2016, but for internet, I only used it with wifi. The camera for stills, very crisp! Mostly used for video recording, still photos and music.
