Edit: Yes, people. I know the original comment was a joke. You don't have to tell me that about a comment I replied to years ago. I don't think you quite understand the conditions that Germany was in at the time. Steiner's counterattack was scheduled for April 1945. The timeline diverges far before the attack was ever planned. Besides, even if Steiner did make his attack, it wouldn't work. Berlin would still fall, as the German army was barely functional at that point. I know I'm gonna get wooshed, so I'm just gonna say that I had to vent because there have been TWO comments like this on The Man in the High Castle videos.

French leaders also in 1939 gave speeches along similar lines of "never surrender", but they did. In fact literally every war time leader gives such "we will never surrender" speeches. Except as we all know in war, someone has to look an idiot and surrender when the time is unfavourable. Weather it's France, Britain, Germany or anyone else.

If HOI4 still somehow existed in this timeline, the Endsieg mod would have the August 1949 starting date (equivalent of the March 1945 starting date in OTL Endsieg) and people would make competitions to see which of them manages to push back the Germans, there would also be lots of "why the allies could not win WW2" videos uploaded to whatever platform similar to OTL KZbin exists in the timeline of this video, and there would be memes about USA leaders fleeing to Mexico or to South Africa instead of the OTL memes about German leaders fleeing to Argentina

I am not even joking, I've researched hypothesis's and theoretical ways of Axis victories for years, and this has to be one of the most amazing and terrifying depictions. It does not matter of how realistic and accurate it is, it was absolutely possible if the Axis played their cards well (or strategically). While I was watching this, I found it so terrifying of how this could of happened in a hypothetical alternate universe, props to you mate.

Если бы рейх победил советов , то столкнулся бы (а он и столкнулся) с гигантским партизанским движением . As a wargamer I do this every week. : ) One thing, Australia is pretty easy for Japan to take, I do it regularly in Pacific War (SSI). Also I sort of doubt the USSR could have survived the fall of Moscow by more than a few months. I regularly take Moscow in War in Russia (SSI) and considering the supply hub that Moscow is (every rail line in the country leads there) and the mass of factories also it seems quite unlikely that the Ural Mtn factories in isolation would really keep them going. Anyways fantastic presentation (typos aside) and very much in line with most historians speculations on this very subject.

If you look at it, WW2 was just Germany vs Everyone Italy was under an inept leader, Japan was too far away. The number of battles won just gives you an idea of how good of a military leader Hitler was. He was a morally corrupt man, but a great military general he was. It was only for a few small mistakes that cost him heavy losses and eventually Germany lost.

An interesting thing to think about after watching alternate history videos like this is, how would the world look like if this actually happened? Would we even exist? tbh i think that's highly unlikely for everyone, but what would the world look like going forward? What would be the future of the Axis? Could a huge resistance movement destroy the Axis, or will the world be under their control for all eternity? Well, deep thinking aside, this video was awesome! None of this shit would have happen. Leningrad and Moscow wouldn't have fallen within a span of a couple months. Not to mention, the eastern troops would have still helped in the battle of Moscow or Stalingrad. Yes they didn't sign a treaty, but I just don't see the soviets leaving those expert and veteran solders there and be like "oh well, wish we could move them but Japan could attack." Most of these things that would have changed wouldn't change the outcome of the war. This is like the perfect dream for Hitler if this happen.

I feel like the only way the Axis could win would be if Japan joined on the Allies side and America joined the Axis because America was one of the defining parts of WWII. They provided most of the supplies while the Soviet Union and China provided most of the manpower and were the bloodiest parts of the war. If Japan joined the Allies I’d expect America to give Germany it’s supplies and resources. Keep in mind a lot of Americans before WWII were sympathetic to Hitler mainly because America and Germany had similar racist ideas (America about black people, Germany about Jews). Then America would join Germany sort of as a reluctant ally like what America did with the Soviet Union in our timeline. Then after WWII America would annex Japan as a territory, British colonies in Africa would be American puppet states and China and Korea would be divided. Then a Cold War would assume and both sides would have proxy wars and try to one up each other, eventually I’d think a city in Canada would be nuked but instead of America retaliating there would be mass protests of all types from civil rights to anti-nuclear and anti-war. After that America would have a civil war back by Nazi spies and America would sort of become Germany’s right hand man. That’s how I’d expect for it to go down without it going nuclear or being drawn out possibly for decades.
