during dives they would usually open the canopy incase they needed to bail

I mean you’re not wrong but during those days pilots do like to keep the canopy open during the fight. Same as diving as well so closing it is kinda impractical

@@mystic8585 it was actual protocol for USN dive bombers. If something happened mid dive they would not be able to open the canopy fast enough to get out

Not sure what is wrong with my game. My plane is not responsive. I can't pass this mission. Plane always dive bombs and crashed. Pulling up does nothing. Very bizarre.

Was it unresponsive right from the get-go or was it non-responsive after you loaded up a checkpoint? I know for some missions I had to restart the mission completely because the game would completely glitch out and make me die taking prompted actions necessary to complete missions. Super annoying for sure, but it's the only fix that I found for my situation, though I'm playing on Xbox Series X, not PC like this video.
