In the 1930s BMW was producing a number of popular and highly effective motorcycles. In 1938 development of the R75 started in response to a request from the German Army.

I would love to ride in one of those. I've always wondered how they steer with it. Is it still lean left or right to turn?

I have the zundapp version; it's very weird to start with and easy to crash or not be able to turn hard enough.Its nothing like a normal bike or car. When turning right you lean right and give it some throttle and it shunts you around the corner. When turning left just go slow and never turn and brake. They take some skill and balls at speed , more so when empty. Great fun, but can be hard physical work hence the very wide handle bars.

I have a KMZ Dnepr MT-11 sidecar motorcycle I restored and ride almost daily. Once you learn how it's easy. It's also great fun. You ride motorcycles, you drive Sidecars. With a sidecar on the right it sometimes helps to lean right in right turns to help counterweight the sidecar. Otherwise you steer it directly with the handlebar. Factory built Sidecars have different rake and trail angles than 2 wheel motorcycles. It's dangerous to ride a factory built sidecar motorcycle without the sidecar attached. A standard motorcycle with a sidecar attached will be hard to steer in tight corners unless special forks are installed with reduced rake and trail angles. Once you get used to the motorcycle fighting you steering it in tight turns it's no big deal.

No, you have to physically turn the bars, and use the engine to steer. A completely different ride than a solo.

У нас в посёлке дед ездил на таком . Потом продал парню молодому. Тот лет пять металл на нём возил. Чёт сломался он , ну парняга давай чинить его . Вроде как Днепр ,вроде как Урал Так у нас на селе ему мозгов не дали . Приезжает какой-то ветеран и говорит что это БМВ р75 Там просто табличек ни каких не было . Дк сколько лет какой ресурс .
