My dad was on Iwo with the 21st Marines for 34 days. You said that he served at Iwo and Okinawa. That would have been almost impossible. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th MarDiv was on Iwo from February to late March of 1945. The battle for Okinawa started on April 1, 1945 and consisted of the 1st, 2nd, and 6th MarDiv. The timing of the battles would not allow him to be in both battles.

My father passed on 8 of August of 2024. In 44-45 he was in the Pacific on the USS Massachusetts. I will never forget the stories he told. We must never forget what the great generation did for this country.

Thank you for your Service, I wish Americans would get their stuff together and help one another and stop the madness. I would give you my life in a minute. I have donated to others to find out everytime I have to wait for a new debit card 12 days just received one today. I wish I could say what I want but this is more important to even hear this man speak. For it a very rare thing, for my granddaughter went to the grave with many secrets in order to live a somewhat and decent life. All I can say about this. God bless everyone and America. Thank you again Sir.

It must’ve been so hard for the drill sergeants knowing they were preparing children to go fight to the death for something they didn’t even understand fully. I wouldn’t have had the heart especially after building a bond with those men for 6 months

Not at all - Trump was wildly misrepresented for something he said at a war memorial in Europe. Trump was somberly looking at the memorial and he said "What was in it for these guys?". Or words to that effect. You may note that during Trump's 4 years the U.S. attacked nobody.

@@martinholmes639 that was only one example of several times trump has dishonored our military, what he said about John MacCain for starters. I'm not forgetting the video of him mocking a disabled person either.
