WW2 Pillbox Mystery in Lampeter, Wales- MM036

I take a look inside the Second World War pillbox concrete defensive postion
at the River Teifi Bridge Lampeter, in Ceredigion, Wales. After looking at the pillbox in detail we ask the big question about why it was ever made? And what was the defensive strategy of Great Britain if the German Operation Sealion / Seelowe had become a reality and success in 1940?
Let me know in the comments what you think Britain would have done if all of Southern England and the industrial hub of South Wales had already fallen to the Wehrmacht.

Pillboxes ,those that are left were ,I think positioned on road/rail junctions (through route from Welsh coast?) In south England they tended to be built with defensive lines in mind to keep the big cities safe

Yes mate, totally makes sense. But there's no big cities to defend West of Lampeter. Maybe to defend the docks at Fishguard and Pembroke? But even they'd be pretty redundant if Bristol and Birmingham had already gone. Also note it's on the west side of the Teifi, so it's not like their plan was to defend against a landing on the West Welsh coast, or they'd have put it on the Cwmann side.
