Saber actually beats Scorp in DPS and a one on one fight despite the saber being cheaper to level and cheaper to buy. So the only benefit of scorp is a little bit of extra range (5 more range?) and splash that would help with chaff clear. I don't think the scorps would have performed as well as you expect. They wouldn't be bad, mind you, but just not game winning when you consider the cost to unlock AND cost to tech them to be on par with Sabers.

Forgetting range on that last round is painful. I do that all the time. Choking at the finish line because there is just too much happening.

bit too many crawlers, they all got slaughtered by the spiders. Your chaff clear was good. Should have tried a melter or a boat. Fangs with range and shields as a 2nd wave should have done a lot better.

Replay-round was not lethal, and I'm confused, you called out you should have gotten mustangs, and the same round you should have, he went shielded fangs, which I thought then for sure you were going to grab at least 3 squads of stangs... because the arclights were taking way too long to clear them, which is why you started losing. That replay round you won because you missiled the hell out of his frontline chaff. So, why did you decide not to get mustangs? Asking from a standpoint of a person who is like 400-500 mmr lower than you, thinking that mustangs were a great pick but maybe there's a reason you decided against it?
