WWE 2K14 Vs. WWE 2K24 - Finishers Comparison (Which is Better?) !!!

I compare the finishers of the first game from the 2K series (WWE 2K14) and the last one (WWE 2K24).

I like the gameplay of WWE 2k24. 2k14 showcase and WWE 13 showcase was 100000 X better. 15 objectives a match is absurd. It kills the fun. 3-4 historic objectives should be good enough. I also miss the season modes of the Smackdown and SVR games, where you could just use a wrestler on the current roster.

The thing that gets me is, the new animations aren't bad perse, but they just feel too slow and like they don't have the same level of impact. Also I miss that old Future Shock DDT where the guy popped back up to his knees and Drew just palmed their face and pushed them down.

It’s the quick flash effect after the finish in the old games that doesn’t exist anymore, that and the gameplay is slower and resembles a realistic simulation more than ever.

One thing Yukes and THQ will always do better than Visual Concepts and 2K is how they made WWE’s wrestling games feel like wrestling games and not tryna make it in the same light as NBA 2K or Madden where basically it’s copy and paste with a few new modes every 2 years or so. THQ and Yukes always kept their games fresh with WWE it was like we never got the same game and every year was an upgrade, from SvR 11 to WWE 12, then WWE All Stars and Attitude Era WWE 13 man it was nothing but gems THQ and Yukes gave us.

Can't compare 24 with 14. Gameplay was perfect. Plus, the timed kickout meter was far better than the one in 24.

2k14 got the scale and the grandness of the Wrestlemania arenas right. Cant really place why but they just had magic to them

Honestly, 2K14. Might have been too harsh on those animations. Like I wasn't keen on the taunt at the end of the Batista Bomb or the overly wide travel distance or just that the Trouble in Paradise would be facing the opponent down. I do still have those issues as I was very quick into pins and hated dragging the opponent into the middle of the ring because they got sent flying. Some animations currently are still good, Cross Rhodes is just a beautiful animation. But it's very mixed. For every good animation, there's a 2k23 Rock Bottom, Ground Zero, and most of the moves from 2k20. There's just odd posing, oddly sped up, weird sells, and blending issues. Like the new BFT, I think you can see the pop in the move blend. There's also some weird move restrictions. Like you can't run into the RKO anymore (for the WWE 12 animation), you can't run into Trouble in Paradise after they reanimated it. We need separate duplicates of springboard animations just do running Springboard moves. It needs tweaking.

It hits different. The weaker impact is more realistic and the red boarder is better than fancy camera angles. I would like it if I could change colours on the red boarder depending on my mood. HCTP was terrible for large impact moves and fancy camera angles. Welcome to the new and improved era.
