When referring to the games, it is common practice to mention the publisher's name, as they are primarily responsible for bringing the game to consumers. Like you did when you said 2K Games, by your logic it is WWE Visual Concepts24. Now come to the Yukes, Yukes was involved developing the game for 2k till 2019, but now Visual Concept is the developer from 2K20. When Yukes developed 2K games till 2019, the lighting as mentioned above was not right. This video is related to 2K24, and now it seems they (2K Games) got it right and btw 2K24's developer is Visual Concepts, not Yukes. I know you are a 2K fanboy but don't be a smarta*s before jumping the gun, first understand the topic, think then speak. When Yukes developed games for THQ the lighting was fine but with 2K the lighting factor struggled. In summary, when discussing WWE video games, it is appropriate to refer to them as WWE 2K games, as 2K Games is the publisher or in THQ case it will be called THQ SvR, not Yukes SvR. So, I think that LITERALLY you didn't know what was the context!

The lighting fix is the best this game will ever look. In 2k24 if they implement jiggle physics and short hair physics it'd be the best wwe game graphically and physically. Edit: by jiggle physics I mean skin physics from punches like ufc.

Man, coming from SvR 2011 which was the last one i ever owned.. these graphics are insane! HHH entrance with the water in the air looked so realistic. Always wanted to come back to WWE games and this year I might. SvR 09 with DX on the cover will always be my all time favorite

I been playing 22 for a year and didn't even know Kross was in the game, also Kane sliding in the ring was weird, Goldberg and Brock aint cut up like that anymore, roman doesn't throw the fist up on the 2nd rope anymore , only difference really is John Cena throwing the hat to the audience and Gunther ain't Walter in this game.. basically this is 2k22 with a few minor updates...

What's shocking about this is that for as far as we've come since the 8bit era and beyond, we're still not at a point where it's indistinguishable from watching a TV show. Doesn't matter how many artists they throw at it, we get a bit closer here and a bit closer there but even in the vast majority of stills it's 100% obvious that it's a game not a real show and as soon as it starts animating, any hint of an allusion falls away. Maybe AI can finally help us get to that top level.

@@oblonsky They spend fortunes on animation and art but we're just not there from a tech stand point. Even the biggest budget movies still have that uncanny valley thing going on. When Unreal showed the Matrix tech off, it was a giant jump forward but even that just wasn't good enough. The AI advancements we're getting now, will very likely take us over the threshold.

That's because game companies go for the eye candy approach instead of realism. they go for the sharp and pretty looking graphics over the blurry and reduced resolution graphics. it's crazy, because not only does this approach make the game less natural looking, it also costs more resources to output. we could've had realistic graphics in the seventh generation if game developers just blurred up the image a bit, set the resolution to 720p, capped the frame rate to 48 fps, increased motion blur, and added more attention to detail in the background. lower resolutions and a blurry image effect would literally allow us to go back to FXAA in anti-aliasing quality and save on extra performance for maybe crowds and props in the background, maybe even more detailed models for the wrestlers.

The sad thing is they only sharpened the graphics a little bit and changed the lighting the character models don't look any different and some of the entrances looked better on 2k22 just because the lighting was different these games will never be as good as they used to be.

Agreed.. crazy that the SvR series is nearly two decades old and still hold their own in comparison. Aside from some mechanical improvements in recent games, I personally feel as though the SvRs reign supreme even after all this time.

I do, but I just don't bother complaining about it online. I complain by not buying the game until its 80% off. I'd happily pay full price for an actual new game or substantial update, but this isn't either. I'll happily continue using 2k22 until a major price drop makes this game worth it.
