I'm not a big fan of how spread out the DLC Packs are this time but I do love the inclusion of who they have in them 💯 And I'm glad it's not full of an NXT roster that I will never use. However, I do wonder if WWE2K25 will be coming out at a later date next year since the last DLC Pack is in November.

My one issue with the dlc is having to wait until September 20 six & a half months after the games release to play as talents like Dragon Lee Carlito Kairi Sane & Jade Cargill. It’s great Punk made it in & is part of DLC pack one. But some of the gaps between packs is mind boggling

Post Malone - Not surprising Sensational Sheri - A dancer type character Headbangers - Headbanging and Rock/Metal is pretty synonymous with each other Jimmy Hart - This one is a bit iffy but with the mega phone it could be seen as a music thing Honkey Tonk Man - Based on Elvis Presley

The 6th pack being in September is so weird ... that's almost towards the end of year and by then people will alr be anticipating for 2k25. Lyra probably won't even be champion by then, and she should've been in the base game anyways. If anything, she should've been in the first DLC pack to make the roster feel updated since the NXT Champ is vacated in 2k24.

I have a theory as to why the season pass starts in May: in April the Nightmare Family Pack and possibly the classic Bianca and Rhea characters will be released for everyone not just those who pre-ordered or have the Deluxe or 40 Years of WrestleMania editions and August is the release of the 40 Years of WrestleMania Pack which because it includes the WrestleMania 40 arenaxI believe is not available Day One at the WrestleMania 40 arena wouldnt be. Dont know why thier skipping October though. Really though I dont care about the release schedule it is what is. As long as I get what I paid for since I pre-ordered Deluxe I can wait. I mainly use DLC characters for moves anyway

The Pat Mcafee pack should have a mix of more wrestlers. Maybe one more celebrity with a connection to Wrestlemania. I know this won't happen, but I thought the clue with the female figure in the 80's style excercise suit that is next to a microphone with microphone stand could have been a clue for this pack. Wendi Richter and Cindy Lauper. If its just co hosts from his show, it would be a serious misstep. And a missed opportunity. Even if it was a playable Corey Graves that would be a step up. Other co-hosts in the history of the WWE who I would love to see, although totally unlikely, Jesse Ventura, Gorilla Monsoon, and Bobby Heenan.

Nia had a return at the 2023 Royal Rumble, but didn't return until SummerSlam (which for arguements sake was cutoff for base roster members given some characters are in their SummerSlam 2023 attires) that means Nia would have missed the base game as would Kairi Sane who didn't return until November because she had dates in Japan to finish up, same for Carlito. He had a few non WWE comments to finish up plus his main roster return was at Fastlane in October which is normally well after the cutoff date for base game. I agree about Lyra Valkyria and Dragon Lee though, but that's how it is

I definitely won't be buying the season pass. I can't believe for the first time ever I was actually contemplating buying a season pass for a WWE 2K game until I saw how spread apart the pack releases are. By the time they release all the Legends and Superstars I'll be tired of the game. I buy WWE 2K every year but normally after I play for around a month and a half I'm tired of the game and I hardly ever play it again until the next one releases the next year. I was definitely about to buy the season pass until I heard some of the packs won't be releasing until September. That's insane when I've already been playing this game since it came out in March.

The fourth pack should realistically be the first one as it has a huge chance to be outdated by the time it comes out, any number of the people in it could get new gimmicks or end up injured by the time the dlc comes out. Seven months for current day roster members is absurd.

Two of the people in dlc 4 are also current champions, so it would also help the roster be more updated if they were the first dlc.

I think our NXT women's champion should have been in pac 1 instead of having to wait until what September she might not be champion by then guarantee not to be championed by then or she should have been in the base game

I think this is one of the strongest DLC's in the history of the series. With the only exceptions being DLC 3. If it is true that the Pat Mcafee pack will include co hosts from his show, even though it is different, its not really content the community was asking for. Having the potential of 5 celebrities that have no connection to the WWE seems like a misstep. Most probably this was a request from Pat Mcafee himself, but it doesn't really mesh with a WWE game. Even when Machine Gun Kelly was introduced, he had some tie to WWE. Being this was 40 years of Wrestlemania, if you wanted celebrities, Cindy Lauper and Mr. T, who was part of 2k22 would have made more sense. Other possible names that could have been good choices, William "the Refrigerator" Perry, Mongo McMicheal, L.T. ,Mike Tyson, Butter Bean, Shaquille O'neil. Hopefully DLC3 will be better than I think it sounds like being.

I theorize that the reason why they are so spread out is that they are likely releasing 2K25 at a later date next year, as imo I feel like this year could be 2K’s last WWE game for PS4/Xbox One hardware as 2K themselves have stated that they initially planned on adding more features for this year but wasn’t able to.

I cant believe a yearly release is holding out content 9 months into the game's life. If this was a live service game, I would love it. But by November we are going to be in hype season for 2k25 already. I bet 90% or more of the player base will be done with the game by then. I just think what if Madden or NBA 2k held back some of the players until 9 months after release. People freaked out on MLB the Show when their full roster update took like 2 weeks after launch. And these arent just small potatos or legends. Current champions like Kairi Sane arent coming until 7 months later??? And everyone can say they dont owe us anything, and I am just bitching and moaning, but we paid for this DLC. Anyone who got the season pass has PAID for it. November in my mind, is unacceptable.

I don’t understand why so many think this is such a great DLC lineup. There’s only 21 wrestlers + some celebrities + a manager. There’s some GREAT additions but there’s only 3 good packs and 2 of those are 7-9 months away. And I don’t think spreading them out is a positive thing and it doesn’t expand the lifecycle. It DOES save me money though because I don’t have to buy the season pass this year. I’ll purchase pack 1 separately and then I’ll see if I’m still playing in September.

As much as I like the themed packs and I agree that having the DLC spread out over months prolongs the games lifespan , current roster members like punk, kairi, jade, etc should be in the first dlc pack to keep the roster up to date and then have the legends and extras in the months following. But as well, there’s so many match types, game modes and over 200 playable characters that I don’t feel like the game would be “stale” by November so I disagree just as much as I agree with having the dlc so spread out as it is. Idk what the Xbox equivalent is but on PS hardly anyone platinum’s the game so give us the DLC now and if you’re bored of the game, go trophy/achievement hunting
