Even if you put your MITB holder in a rivalry with your champion. At the ppv, the cash-in isn’t available as a rival action. It’s so dumb and make universe mode pointless. Hopefully 2K fix it soon.

I tried for over an hour last night. Had Undertaker successfully defend title against Roman Reigns. Both were fully red. Would have been perfect to cash in. Wish it was like others where you press 'X' (playstation) and cash in

PPV cash ins aint a thing in universe mode if thats the reason it aint workin

basically you need to create that match by yourself, then when you go to Rivalry Option you should choose Free Mode. The important thing is to make the match between the champion and MITB holder. Let's say it's Miz who has the MITB and Cody Rhodes who has the WWE Championship. When it's Friday and it's Smackdown time go to the show as normal and just create a match between The Miz and Cody Rhodes. Then go to that match by simulating others and when you are about to play that one press the button for Rivalry Actions. When you have the screen open, you will see "Free Mode" on the left. Then you can choose that option and create a cash-in. Once you create it, the participants will change (It will be Cody Rhodes vs. someone - you can also choose it from that screen) and when you try to play at the beginning you will see Rivalry actions and post match cash-in.

Turn off the Automatic Rivaliry option in Universe options and set the rivaliry again and it should work! And set the Intesity to VERY HIGH
