WWE 2K24: Fan Backlash Over DLC, Early Access, Persona Card Unlocks, COD Models & More!

Join us for the latest round-up of wrestling game news including all the latest on the fan backlash surrounding the WWE 2K24 Pat McAfee DLC Pack, new footage of the Elite Hulk Hogan and Elite Rock Action Figures, WWE in Call of Duty & more!
The main talking point of today's video is an update on the controversy surrounding the Pat McAfee DLC Pack which was originally scheduled to release on July 24th before it was pushed back to July 31st just a day before release.
The delay of the pack has continued to cause backlash from players over the decision to include Pat McAfee's co-hosts (Connor, Darius, AJ & Tye) over new NXT talent like Sol Rucca and Jakara Jackson, who game files indicate were originally planned to appear.
Continuing to fuel the fire Tye Schmit called the NXT roster a bunch of losers that nobdoy wanted to play as, leading to NXT's general manager Shawn Michaels and NXT faction Gallus challenging the group to a match.
It's unclear if the comments are part of a work to have the group appear on TV to promote the DLC, or if WWE are trying to make the best of a bad situation.
Regardless, for players looking forward to the DLC this video also contains previews of each man's entrance!

2 things that I noticed about these entrances: 1) Their billed hometowns are just the state that they’re from, and not a city within it. (Ex: Alexa Bliss being billed from Columbus, Ohio) 2) All of the announcements from Samantha Irvin sounded like they were done in a single take… which could’ve been just a warm-up. 😅

While I personally agree with your take... From a business sense, Jade Cargill, Nia Jax, Kairi & etc being made the 4th DLC Pack is their attempt to make the WWE 2K24 Game Cycle longer. The Pat Show DLC imo is the worst 2k DLC pack of all time because having only Pat in the game is cool but his friends nah I don’t care about them or even like them at all. That pack could’ve easily been a Nxt Pack they could’ve but the Meta 3 (I know is 4 but dar is already in the game), Lola Vice & Lexis king. Now thinking about it there’s no really wrong answer but yes I’m aware Tyson came out of retirement for 2020 and will have a match with Paul later on this year so in retrospect there’s no wrong answer honestly but when I think of boxing the first name I think of is Ali than Tyson but that’s just me.

The DLC gives us four guys we don't care about, a football that is corny, and around 20 moves, of which 6 are a coffin drop, and 2 are moves they forgot to put in with Josh Briggs... Leaving us with only 13 moves that are not talent exclusive... And the worst of it? All of those coffin drops are assigned to Ty Schmitt... Making it look like a move only a talentless hack would use.

As a fan who lives in Portugal, I think it's a tremendous lack of respect that Hogan and Rock figures can only be purchased by those who live in the United States. I paid 70 euros for the season pass and one of the dlc's is full of characters that aren't even wrestlers. shame wwe, shame!!

True the game is broken in terms of bugs and glitches is 2K20 Lame-ass level , If I was 2K I will hire another developer to take care of NBA 2K and make Visual Concept just for developing WWE2K , I think it is a big problem to have the same developer working at the same time in two games that are usually highly anticipated

Ya know for the first time ever, I haven’t felt 100% happy about this game, as i feel it’s gonna get worse before its gets better. 2K don’t care. They want our money. They don’t really care about our needs or wants. As long as a profit is made So I’m saying this with a heavy heart. I’m retiring my WWE2K series as I think it’s just a joke. the games were fine up until they brought in my faction. And DLC we never asked for. I don’t myself continuing playing their games. 2K just need a top-down change. Whoever makes the DLC decisions needs to go. Whoever replied with those laughing emojis need to go. Whoever thinks commentary as-is needs to go - the NBA 2K method of using real clips, from what I've heard, is significantly more fluid and realistic. Just let the NBA 2K team take over, maybe then we'll get a new visual engine too.

I found more problematic how hard is to unlock persona card than a new DLC , all the things to have to find to unlock for example Randy's 09 alter ego is ridicoulous , they should be unlocked by winning a special event or completing tasks in exhibition , not by playing a lot in My faction and if you are lucky enough you get all the pieces to unlock that card

What if they did a game with the action figures characters style but with WWE Allstars game play? Even with Mattel Wwe rings. I loved WWE Allstars and thought they should've continued with it. But instead we got Battle Grounds which went way too far.
