When you irish whipped your opponent and you hit a slingblade it might have been because of the new feature when you irish whip someone and you press a rebound button it waits until the right time and then it executes the move automatically. If you press ‘b’ twice you irish whip them and then it does the grab rebound attack which is what you were experiencing. I think 😅

The Irish Whip 'glitch' isn't a glitch. If you press Circle (or B, depending on what you're playing on) after the whip animation has started, it will automatically hit your rebound grapple attack. Maybe you're tapping the whip button after the initial grapple, which then leads to you hitting the rebound attack
