People talk about this being the best that being the best; for my money, SvR06 on ps2/psp, 07 on 360 and obviously hctp and SYM are the best wrestling games ever. I keep seeing people say 2k14 and even 2k19?! Like nah dawg those games are garbage compared to the ones just listed. 06 on ps2 Is the best looking ps2 game ever made graphics wise and control wise. 07 while lacking wrestlers is an improvement of 06 with way better graphics but 08 is the second worst version of this game and took it back multiple years. That game was not fun. Like at all. And the 2k games were all essentially minimally upgraded versions of wwe12 which sucked Day one. 2k15 was supposed to be next Gen. And was awful and they never improved until the engine finally just died thankfully.

What is funny is that if I were 9 years old again... this game would be like heaven. If this game had been released when I was 9, I wouldn't have even masturbated for the amount of time I would have been spending playing this game. Sadly... 3 generations too late. It is a sad cash grab pay to win bullshit game and that is going to be the norm for the foreseable future in the gaming industry. It makes me happy that I have invested my money in older games that had no DLC and they are ACTUALLY IN MY POSSESSION in game format. For those of you that would shit on my take, I have a drive full of games that are not influenced by an internet connection and can be played fully to their end without paying an additional dime. Forget 2k14, this is the best game since the SvR games. Those games were actually fun even if not realistic. Wwe12 destroyed the entire game for over a decade. Everything was built on that engine until it died in 2k20. The games engine was broken the first year in 12. Look up reviews; I was there. 2k22 felt like the first “new” game since the SvR games. Every 2k version was just an update to the existing game. Yeah the showcases were cool but the actual gameplay was garbage in 13 and 14 despite how cool it was to get those showcases but these new games feel well, new. Because they are. When 2k got the license, all people wanted was a Wwe version of nba 2k with all the love put in and instead we got a decade of the mlb 2k games where the graphics sucked and gameplay sucked. Now both are excellent even if there’s a need for more content. Having all these wrestlers is great but I want them to matter and universe still sucks. That said it’s an improvement for sure they just gotta keep at it. I’m still seeing championships floating with animations over a decade old. Like come on, titles are the best part so why not focus on making them look the best they can with realistic victories and celebrations? Nearly everyone has that generic Eddie Guerrero style one I swear has been in the game for fifteen years

The Showcase is a letdown. Not enough matches for a Wrestlemania showcase. 21 marches is just low and the slingshot tech does hamper the flow of a match in the mode as you are hamstrung by the micro instructions. But I am interested in seeing the improvements in MyRise

And a lot of the moves switches to cinematic mode so the moves do sell very well like the show unless countered.
