2k22 to 2k24's gameplay was completely dogshit compared to older WWE games. The dodging, stun meter and guessing reversal system don't belong in a wrestling game. It feels like im playing a UFC or Fight Night game. You don't see Seth Rollins or Cody Rhodes bobbing and weaving. The guessing reversal takes no skill at all, its literally rock paper and scissors. The 2k14/SVR 06 control system and reversal system needs to be return.

I feel these WWE game companies try to make controls for the WORST online players who need a 'random counter' mode so they can't perfect a singular reversal button. But that's how it SHOULD BE. I don't care about the worst online spammers. I care about fun, easy of pick up and play and interactive design. I was going to consider 2k24 after not getting a WWE game since 2k19, but I'm going to hold off until 2k25 at least, hopefully the silly stun, guessing reversals and dodging are removed or simmer down, and more sensible controls are put back in.

Here’s a hot take: WWE 2K Originals from WWE 2K20 should return. They were good models, just on the worst game possible. Don’t replace them with the DLCs though.
