With the ashy orton parts you can try baby oil or mink oil . You could try spraying some matte finish on it aswell. This happens when you boil them. I dont recommend doing it like this because the plastic on the older elites does this and to some figures will warp aswell. I trashed big john stud doing this same thing.

Great to see MDT surgery back! Thanks for putting out the content and showing the torso cracking procedure for all of us. It’s a shame about the plastic on the older elites, I’ve luckily never experienced that but I’ve also only ever used really hot water and not boiling water - the boiling water crossed the line, Brad! The Orton figures that made it to the other side looked amazing though, thanks for going through the hours of frustration to showcase them for us!

Honestly try placing those faded figures into olive oil, I do it all the time after using acetone as it just adds moisture to the plastic

if you wrap the elastic bands that come in the blister pack you can place them in between the lower torso and the crotch piece this will create the tension you want to not allow the torso to be loose. Wrap as many times as need for desired tension

This might be a dumb idea in practice, but it works in theory. Try power sawing the top halves of the torsos off the old Ortons so that you don’t have to put them in water at all

Action figure surgery episode with edge elite 83: “If this was a torso that I really didn’t want to f up, oh my god it would be the hardest torso crack known to man.” Ep. 78: *is effortlessly getting off torsos that he actually doesn’t want to F up Also I also experienced the seared plastic effect when I was doing fix ups early. The water was to hot. Don’t boil the figures. Get a kettle, boil the water in the kettle and put it in a mug, then put the figure in the mug.

Don’t re order them just hit the full figure with clear coat spray paint same if you acid tone any figures literally sand then clear coat .

Met there's a secret to fix the waist take a rubber band and pull all the way up keep trying to work it inside once you get it in the front cut the hanging part off there you go no more loose goose your welcome
