I dunno why they don't do Champion vs Champion every year. Especially brand split matches is such a great concept of 2 brands with 1 winner in every division every year. Top belt, midcard belt, tag belts and women's belts. Takes me back to the glory days of Smackdown vs Raw where it felt special in real life.

Championship unification means one of the belt tile lineage the winner has will be discontinued after the match. Actually, i don't mind you being confused on this topics since wwe although said that both world and tag team championships unified in mid 2022, all the title lineage were still continued even to this day nearly 2025. Though the tag titles already back to two seperate champion teams after wrestlemania 40.

I remember at day 1 2022 when roman vs brock match was cancelled and brock was inserted to the wwe championship match, that's where i knew roman will not drop the title until wrestlemania 40. It was obvious that wwe will make the unification match at wrestlemania 38 and roman will not lose at wrestlemania 39 because before roman, there was no over a year heel wwe champion (cm punk turn heel after 8 months of his 434 days). The only time there was a roman will probably drop the title was at catc 2022 against drew.

@Teleporte. Cody is the face of the company. Gunther is just an extra. There's many people way over than Gunther, and they don't need a belt. Let's not forget Drew vs Punk completely outshined Gunther & Preist. The World Title was only needed when Roman was Champ and hardly on the weekly shows.

@@Gavin48 remember that WWE has two weekly shows, and each Brand has its own Roster... this means that whoever is on RAW cannot go to SmackDown and the same goes for SmackDown. And for a Brand not to be so uninteresting the brand must have his own titles and that includes a World title. It's not a question of who is the face of the company, it's a question of logic.
