the problem with this booking beyond the obvious is this booking only makes sense if drew ends up beating punk, if punk then beats him then drew is just made to look like a goof that cant get it done anymore. He has been screwed several times by punk already and he is the one that is set up to get retribution. If not, then why did drew resign anyway, to put over punk and get screwed nonstop? seeming like drew gonna get forgotten in the shuffle once all is said in done

I think this will work if it's a double turn where Drew goes face because the fans back him and are getting tired of the Punk screw jobs and Punk turns heel because he feels the fans are not supporting him as much. Remember, in wrestling it's all about what's happening and not about, well why he was even out to screw Drew in the first place. No one remembers. It's like Liv claiming to that Rhea did the same thing to her. Sure she did, but it's typical heel ploy plus no one remembers that. They only remember now that Rhea is the face and Liv is the heel.

CM Punk continues to be the best in the World, & him + Drew is still the best rivalry in Pro Wrestling right now. Great finish, allows Drew to be protected & screwed over at the same time, while keeping the World Heavyweight Title in Priest hands. Also this perfectly sets the stage for huge box office Draw CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre at Money in the Bank or SummerSlam PPV.

For Chad Gable I can definitely see him get another IC title shot with how good this story line is, but at Summer Slam. AA implosion angle, Gable forms Team Gable with the Creed Bros, 3v3 at MITB Sami & AA against Team Gable, then IC title at summer slam.

The Damien Priest leg thing was a total botch. He went for his step-up flip dive, but slipped and got tied up. They had to improvise around that, and he legit fucked up his leg. Cudos to Damien for powering through it though

A wild show and a hot crowd, and one that nearly all of my predictions were wrong. Cody and AJ had a hell of a match. That finish teased a bit of a hell Cody, I'm also curious what this means for AJ Style. The Women's Triple Threat started off well but fell apart. A lot of botches and missed spots. I did not expect Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn to win, but I'm very happy they did. Cody and Sami were another great. I think everyone expected Otis to snap tonight and Gable to win, but they showed restraint. Some fantastic storytelling and Gable is going to be livid on RAW. Bayley and Piper were a solid match, they needed to make Bayley a believable champion, this showed just how good Piper really is. I hope this means Piper will get a serious push at some point. I am shocked, I really didn't expect them to have Drew lose at Clash, AGAIN. All I can say is the fucking Balls on the WWE. I knew Punk was going to be involved, but I had expected a different incoming. My own hubris. I also hope Priest isn't hurt, that tie-up in the ropes did look planned, if so he sold it like a champion. We are going to see both Drew and Gable be livid on RAW. Punk continues to give Drew Broken Dream. RAW is going to be must must-watch to see the fallout. We have Uncle Howdy's debut, plus both Drew and Gable completely losing their shit.

This was a good show. Hopefully Priest is good after that botch. Punk screwing Drew was the right call. Why give Drew a token transitional run with the World Title? AJ and Cody killed it. Jade is not getting better, dude. She slipped off the ropes doing a move she had no business doing and she tapped out in a spot where she wasn’t supposed to. Even the referee told her to quit moving your hand. She still has ways to go. WWE only pushing her so hard to rub it in AEW’s face 😂
