Fubby thing is as a kid I remember watching WWF superstars and that was on Sunday morning at 11. I distinctly remember seeing moves like piledrivers, ddt etc and even recall hearing “damn” occasionally. And the show definitely was aware of kids watching with the number of toy commericals. I think it had less to do with the time (1990s vs mid 2000s) as much as thr syndicator. Superstars was nationally syndicated but wasn’t part of a specific block. Saturday morning slam I’m pretty sure was part of the infamous 4kids syndication block which was known for editing children anime to an absurd degree.
