WWE Micro Aggression Royal Rumble Part 1

No, I'm not waiting for a certain number of views, I'm mostly just waiting to have enough time to finish Part 2! It's probably going to take another thousand pics to finish, like Part 1, so it's a lot of work to put together. The audio alone is a lot to sort through but thankfully, I have almost all of that finished now. Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about the Royal Rumble. Things are just very busy and there's about five different videos that I want to put together too!

Yes, I plan on using TNA micros for animations soon. I'd really like to get the 6-sided ring playset, if it ever comes out! MiniTron Videos: This was a crazy idea that I'm glad worked out so nicely. I replaced the original "Screen" with blank green one. Then I used a Green Screen filter to insert the video into the clip. Rumble Part 2: The holidays will be keeping me busy, so it will be out in early 2011! TNA Customs: Yes, I have a few ideas for some customs, including a big surprise!

Quick Update: I finally finished shooting all the footage for Part 2! Now, I just need a few days to add all the final touches/editing and it will be ready for posting, so stay tuned!

Thanks! Yes, the heads, and all their parts, can be boiled and removed in order to make customs. Check out my Customizing Tutorial video to see the basic process we use. Also, I highly recommend heating up the micro with an electric hair dryer instead of boiling. There's less chance of breaking the micro and it won't mess up the custom paint job when you're re-assembling the figure. I hope this helps!

Thanks, it's a lot of work to put together but it's fun! It takes a lot of pics to get all the action, then a lot of editing to get the timing right or adding the extra graphics like the Titantron.

Evan Bourne is one of the custom figures that I made for the Rumble! His formula is not too difficult to put together: You just need a Randy Orton head and Series 12 Curt Hawkins body, the one with the black tights. Then it's just a matter of painting in and filling in some of the tights details!

Yeah, I used an extra BJ Penn to make a Ring Announcer custom. The UFC micros all stand up straight so I thought they would be good bases for the ring crew: Announcers, commentators, interviewers, cameramen, etc.

The ring that I'm using for the Royal Rumble is the larger one that comes with the Hell in the Cell/Money in the Bank micro playset. I was going to build my own custom micro-scaled ring when I realized that this one is close enough to the actual scale. The custom arena is a repainted 2-in-1 Raw/Backstage arena with a green screen Titantron for entrance videos!

I used a special filter on Morrison's entrance. It cycles through the spectrum of colors during the clip. Jericho's entrance was harder to do because I had to change the lighting frame-by-frame to get the strobing effect!

I got most of the audio from the 2010 & 2009 Royal Rumble. It's over two hours of audio to sort through, so it's a lot of work to pick out the right moments to choose. Also, some of the newer superstars weren't in it, so I have to search through recent WWE matches to find suitable fillers. Some of Evan Bourne's intro, for example, was actually taken from a Raw episode!

The Titantron videos were done with a green screen that goes over the stop motion. The only video that had to be done frame-by-frame was the Royal Rumble logo screen...MicroDiva did a lot of special graphics work for this!

This video is finished. If you mean the Rumble, I've been working on it for weeks. I was over 1000 miles away for almost two months, so it slowed things down but I'm still shooting new footage. Fortunately, I finished re-shooting the latest segment that originally didn't come out right. I'm close to being done with Part 2 but this week is going to be busy so I may need to put off the rest of the filming for a few days.

Sadly, they stopped making Micro Aggression figures in 2010, so they're no longer in any stores. At best, you can still find some TNA & UFC micros in Toys R Us. I suggest looking at eBay and buying a set from a US seller. I see a lot of international sellers selling sets of random figures but sometimes a couple of good lots show up. Right now, there's a set of 17 micros with a playset at $8, still available for a day. I hope this helps!

So far, I made the Customizing Tutorial video for basic techniques and the Customs Formulas video that shows which figures were used to make most of my customs. I'd also like to make a micro Hornswoggle soon, it's a nice challenge to make him in the right scale too!

Unfortunately, it's been over a year since Jakks stopped making Micro Aggression figures, so there's hardly any stores left that still have them. If you're lucky, maybe Toys R Us still have some sets in the clearance section. Other than that, you have to look online, like on eBay, Amazon, Ringside Collectibles, and other sites to find them. The only micros still in stores for now are the TNA Micro Impact figures but even those will be going away soon too.

Only the Titantron is custom painted but the ring itself is the standard one that came with the Hell-in-the-Cell/Money-in-the-Bank playset. I was going to give it custom ring ropes for the Royal Rumble but I got lazy and kept the red ropes!
