Eric Bischoff made a good point on one of his podcasts, that because advertisers, sponsors, will see every show as just “WWE”, and won’t matter where it is broadcast, so if they want to keep advertisers on SmackDown and NXT, they can’t do anything that crazy on RAW. So they probably can have more freedom on Netflix, but will still be conscious about sponsors on the other shows.

TV sponsors go away when it's not on TV anymore. They can 100% go straight to tvMA day 1 on Netflix if they want. Nothing is stopping them from that except TV sponsors. There are plenty of sponsors willing to get behind a more mature product. (Look at the Wheatley vodka deal as an example)

TV-MA is a bad idea for a lot of reasons but the main one in my opinion is the fact that the world is so damn sensitive it's hard for anything to R-Rated or TV-MA unless you're just gonna say bad words and have more blood. Think about it, AEW is only TV14, imagine if that was TV-MA, they might actually be taken off air and end up like WCW. If Vince McMahon was still in charge it would be a horrible idea to do Gunther vs. Goldberg but Gunther is "THE" Triple guy behind Seth Rollins, plus Goldberg isn't bad in short matches against certain talent. Nobody hated Goldberg vs. Dolph Ziggler and people probably wouldn't care that he beat Bray Wyatt in Saudi Arabia if he didn't win the championship, because Saudi Arabia back then was non canon. Ryback should have only been WWE Champion from Survivor Series 2012 to Payback 2013. He shouldn't win at HIAC or even be in that match because I think Paul Heyman should have turned on CM Punk at Survivor Series, The Shield get involved at TLC (no need for them at Survivor Series if Paul Heyman turns on CM Punk), Ryback beats someone else at Royal Rumble like Randy Orton while Jack Swagger wins the Royal Rumble), Ryback retains inside Elimination Chamber against CM Punk, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Big Show, and John Cena then he beats Mark Henry at WrestleMania 29 before losing the title to John Cena at Payback after a draw at Extreme Rules like in real life. Any other time Ryback can't be WWE Champion. If it was a good idea we would have seen more Brawl For All. Bad idea unless Baron Corbin retires and becomes a trainer but even then it would only happen in WWE. I'd rather Hulk Hogan (who I also hate) because at least then it would mostly be about wrestling. Good idea if you think you'll eventually grow into it.

Having limits, makes for bigger moments, when said limits are broken. So, the show being a little more mature is fine. But there still needs to be clear rules. When AEW started, someone saying shit meant something, now you hear it every show. So guys started saying fuck for the same effect and that's losing impact now too.

If THEY do it, it's a finisher. Not sure why people get pissed off that superkicks aren't finishers but piledrivers literally aren't on WWE and every second AEW match has 2-5 of them.

I’ve been wondering lately, who’s going to be given the privilege to drop the first F-Bomb on Netflix, and what context would it be in. That moment is going to be clipped and replayed for decades, so it’ll have to be worth it. I think it’s gotta go to Brock Lesnar when he returns for the Netflix debut.
