That clash with John Cena may have been included as one of HIS “most savage” moments (with Cena in the orange shirt), but for those who remember the segment, it was Cena who well & truly “burned” Roman to the ground on the mic that night🔥🎤🔥. It was on the August 28th edition of RAW in 2017 for those interested in seeing it. It was by far Cena’s greatest & most intense promo & left Reigns looking like a deer in the headlights 😳😳😳

@@sahas641 … I remember he did a similar demolition job on AJ Styles one time that left AJ looking like a little kid who’d just had his favourite toy taken away by his parents 😆😆😆. People can love him or hate him but there’s no denying he was dynamite on the mic, much like The Rock (who can forget their epic mic battles), CM Punk, The Miz & my personal favourite… Chris Jericho, aka: “Y2J” 💥🎤💥. I’d rather watch them talk s**t to each other than the current crap we get shoved down our throats week in & week out on RAW & Smackdown currently 👍😁🔥🎤

@Bruh … Aside from demolishing both AJ & Roman big time, the performances on the mic where I felt John really shone was when he was going up against The Rock. Man.. The ring & the atmosphere were absolutely on fire & I could happily sit & watch those videos on endless replay seeing as they were so funny ✋️🤣

Oh yes, Roman used to actually be pretty bad on the mic. In that segment he forgot his line. Cena called him on it: "It's called a promo, You wanna be the big dog you're gonna have to learn how to do one." I'll give Roman credit he's really improved.

The Rock and Roman Reigns are cousins. The Rock's grandfather adopted his mom when he married Rock's grandmother. I'm not sure if it was her or her first husband and therefore her daughter that are related to Roman's grandfather or grandmother. Roman is the son of Sika and nephew of Afa, the Wild Samoans, who were a very popular tag team in the 80s. They are like Peter Maivia's nephews or godsons or something like that. Peter Maivia was The Rock's grandfather, who adopted his mom. He considered Roman's grandfather like a brother and there is some relation there. I've even heard that those two were also distant relatives and have common ancestors. Anyways, Roman looks and sounds like Rock because they're related.
