I can't say that Jey is an ingredient for an exciting wrestlemania main event, but I marked for the surprise factor of the victory. Really helps to build the "anybody can win the royal rumble" narrative that they never book towards.

It used to be better and more realistic in the 90's, these days there's so many staredowms and overly choreographed spots, to get their movie-style nonsense in they've even delayed the next entrant, even the order of wrestlers is so silly like nobody could suspend disbelief and think it's random.

i've finally reached a point that the wwe isn't for me anymore. it wasn't just the outcome but the first 2/3 of the men's royal rumble was lame. so boring i took apart my miniature dusty fan and cleaned it using a philips screwdriver and disinfectant wipes. most of the entrants shouldn't have been given a contract while the rest should have been released years ago.

Charlotte winning is predictable and stupid. But the dumbest thing is why a PPV with only 4 matches is 4 and a half hours long. This didn't need to be any longer than 3 hours.

Only 2 things worth while for the first 3 hours of the show: 1. Liv taking down Lyra so she could fix her top. Helpful and without breaking character. Liv has grown a lot in the past few years. 2. Bianca did more for the Jade storyline in 5 seconds than HHH has for the past 2 months. Snatching Jordynne up by the hair after hugging Naomi was the only character/storyline work done in the women’s match. Why put in work, when you know what the finish is about to be? The Rumble PLE wasn't great but it's not as bad as you're saying. Only thing I totally hated was Charlotte winning. Charlotte is ideal booking IF SHE DIDN'T UNNECESSARILY WIN her last win. If this were her first Rumble win, it'd be perfect. But she doesn't need one if she won one already.

Jey Uso winning the Royal Rumble is a bummer. They should have had Punk win it this time around; and I am not a flaming Punk mark. As soon as he got eliminated, that ended the Rumble for me as I could never take Cena, Paul, and Uso as the final three in the rumble seriously. Cena shouldn't have won it either but the final 4 should have been Reigns, Rollins, Punk, and Cena. It's nothing more than WWE building towards a massive underdog moment and a massive pop with the Jey Uso dance step to close out WM as the new champion. The problem though is that I cannot take Uso seriously as a main eventer trying to challenge Gunther of all people for the Championship. Nor can I take him seriously as a world champion going ahead. I guess it's good for Jey but it is still ridiculous overall. Thanks.🍀

Triple H is a good booker, keeps it grounded & simple, but his surprises are so forced. His stuff is very predictable (not a bad thing imo), but when he does pull the occasional swerve it's so out there it's as if he's saying through the screen "look at that huh? Surprising wasn't it? Aren't you surprised!" LMAO If I was LA Knight, this would be the time I started seeking out some answers. I don't think WWE are intentionally short changing him (a la Vince), think a lot of it is unfortunate timing of circumstances, but when Triple H does something purposefully against the grain it never involves him. He needs a thick, meaty bone thrown his way soon, if not WWE can't be surprised if he stops caring.

Charlotte winning was stupid on a number of levels. 1. She absolutely didn’t need it. She didn’t benefit from winning it because she already did and it wasn’t fun the first time. 2. As you accurately pointed out, nobody gave a shit about her return because everyone knows what they’re getting with her: botches, nepotism & LOLCharlottewins 3. I get name at least three other people that it absolutely would’ve made sense for them to win the royal rumble because number one it would’ve benefited them and number two at least it wouldn’t have been so god awfully predictable. As someone who barely watches any wrestling anymore, hearing a WWE crowd go nuts for someone from TNA is wild. I only caught the last two matches. I thought it was alright, though I didn't recognize a lot of the wrestlers. When Cena made it to the last two of the rumble, I kind of had a feeling he wouldn't be going over. Happy for Jay. I actually liked the women's Rumble, until Charlotte won. I was hoping Roxanne Perez would've pulled a surprise win along with setting the longevity record (which Iyo Sky and Liv set earlier). There were much better choices than Jey. If they wanted someone who hasn't won it before then what about LA Knight. LA v Gunther would be great. If Jey says he wants the belt that Roman held for so long then chooses Cody, I can get behind the motive. It aids the story of all Cody's friends choose to chase his title. KO turned, Randy has been looking longingly at the belt. Punk and Roman told him they're coming for his belt. Obviously they would need to add a heel to the match as a face Jey in a singles match would stink the arena out

I know some would say “well, at least it was an unpredictable winner.” Which is true but you also made the mania match even more predictable with jey beating Gunther. And then what? I’m fine with it overall somewhat in Jey winning I guess, it’s just if you had punk win: the outcome itself would be predictable sure, however you would have more intrigue on who punk would go after: Cody or Gunther: those two options are more unpredictable than Jey winning it thus creating a forceful boring outcome. Whereas Punk vs Cody or Gunther at mania it would be pretty tough to think who comes out on top in either scenario. Overall: happy for Jey, just feel like the unpredictable ended up creating a potentially boring result at mania this year.

My biggest issue with the Rumble was HHH's continued poor booking of Carmelo. Anyone that thinks HHH has big things in store for him is fooling themselves.

The show was fucking garbage, easily one of the worst WWE PPV's and Royal Rumbles in along time! How do you mess up a Royal Rumble, it's one of the most easiest and exciting match types of all time. Joe Hendry and LA Knight both being eliminated quickly in under six minutes, The TNA/WWE Partnership sucks, tonight WWE shows what they thing of Impact Wrestling, easily one of the worst Wrestling company Partnerships in along time, Ludwig Kaiser being eliminated in six seconds, and last but not lease, J Uso wining the Royal Rumble, so much more terrible things about this show, happy I don't watch this garbage daily anymore.

I am actually pretty cool it’s Jey winning because the best stories are about a chase and jey got the chasing story besides Cena. I am cool with him taking that title off Gunther overrated ass. Also charlotte Hogan is the first female member of the breakfast club.

I'm a casual fan now. So, shout out to all hard-core fans, like yourself. I'm think Charlotte Flair won because she was injured for so long. I'm stating the obvious, but I feel like they always do that. I remember they had HHH win the rumble when he was out for a year (i still wish kurt won. Ha)... Jey Uso winning. Well, he won the crowd over. Speaking of the crowd. The hard-core fan is not in love with wrestling like they used to be. But the fans at these arenas really love wrestling. Lol😂.

After wrestling and losing like a mid card to Gunther 2 times, cleanly, I'm flabbergasted at this result, and not in a good way. Terrible booking, terrible surprise when you had Punk in there. Get ready for 30 super kicks, 10 spears 20 chest slaps, 3 ugly power bombs and Jey goes over. All the star power and the last 3 three has Logan Paul in there, so sad. Highlight of the night for me was Strowman eliminating Jacob because they almost assassinated his character from a guy half his size to destroy the BIG SOB - I loved how Fatu got tossed out like he should have.

Well, there have been situations where smaller fighters have defeated bigger individuals, so it wouldn't have been all that unrealistic. In this situation yes, because Braun if he was seriously fighting Jacob, I'm sure he would decimate that annoying hood acting moronic fool. Every time he talks he pisses me off, can't stand him.

Couple years ago people were PRAISING HHH for his booking and storylines while crying about Vince’s actions and the way he handled his company. Now you complain about HHH? One things for sure, we keep watching it.

My instant reaction is I would rather have Iyo Sky and Jacob Fatu win the rumbles tonight..Gunther vs Jacob Fatu would be insane at WrestleMania imo and Iyo always makes her opponents look like a million bucks and would probably put Tiffany Stratton over at WrestleMania...
