Ahhhh where Cesaro could be if they ran with his face turn after WM 30 and actually built him up. I always envisioned him being the one to defeat Lesnar if they really booked him to be this freak of nature. Swiss Superman vs. WWE's own Doomsday is how they could've billed it. The fact of the matter is, and you said it perfectly a while ago: WWE doesn't want anyone to become bigger than the W, because then they leave the company, retire or else (Austin, Rock or Hogan as some examples). They're afraid of letting certain individuals who actually have enough talent to do something different by their own without needing a piece of paper all the time. And what they do? Exactly. Tired of lame ass WWE guys (not just employees but fans too) trying to justify certain actions made by the company to make the product "better" or directly calling someone smark or hater (lol) for having a rational opinion about some suspicious move that WWE could make.

Don't tell me you are surprised at Vince being petty. He gave Dusty Rhodes the polka dots to make him a joke despite him being a legend just because he worked for the competition when Dusty not only made it work but was extremely successful with it that pissed off Vince. Vince then tried taking it out on his don Dustin with the Goldust gimmick and once again it backfired and Dustin pulled it off. Unfortunately the third time was the charm and he screwed over Cody with the Stardust gimmick and other things over the years.
