Yeah it's the character that carries the in-ring stuff or at least makes the otherwise overused and boring in ring moves most wrestlers might do technically into something more important and larger than life! Too much of "wrestling" these days seems to be about having repeat matches with half-baked personas in the ring like cough Seth cough Rollins.

@@jd6473 A wrestler can get by with technical ability. BUT, it demands a whole lot more technical ability to be able to make it your gimmick. Sadly, unless you're William Regal or Bret Hart, that ain't happening.

@@MansMan42069 Yeah exactly, like with Bret, he would go in detail about his moves and how he was going to put you through so much pain that you'd be forced to tap out and all that. Made it work with his gimmick, but nobody even bothers to do that anymore. They all do flips and kicks, and it seems like most have the same exact moves

Perfect examples of Kayfabe are The Undertaker, Jake 'The Snake' Roberts, 'The Macho Man' Randy Savage, Roddy 'Rowdy' Piper, Hulk Hogan, John Cena, The Boogeyman, The Rock, 'Stonecold' Steve Austin, and Triple H. Kayfabe was more of a thing back in the day, not nowadays. It's just following storytelling and mostly staying in character.

I know. Most wrestlers would break kayfabe and not stay in character. I mean, I was laughing when he was giving his explanation to the interviwer on what "Yowie Wowie" means lol. Bray Wyatt is one of the few wrestlers right now that is making wrestling interesting again.

This is beyond genius the only real flaw of the undertaker gimmick is he couldn't really do media without having to own up on not being a dead man or making it super awkward and with this Bray can in fact the nice guy act is so suited to these morning tv types Every time I think there is a ceiling to where Bray can take this he goes even higher up

Yes I was hoping for a scenario like this at next yrs WM taker comes out challenges bray to his final (REALLY FINAL MATCH) and help him rest in peace for good have the build-up skyrocket that It will be the main event or co-main event have it build up as the last ride match which will put taker in casket for good. But anyone can dream lol. I love taker wished the streak never ended or ended by a deserving star, not brock.

I didn't know what to expect with this interview. I didn't know he was keeping kayfabe like that. This is a breath of fresh air though. No one in WWE has ever had a character like THIS. Really amazing. There's only one Bray Wyatt. I really hope to consider him a legend after all this is done!
