Dude put up 909 yards on 112 attempts with a 8.1(!!) yards per carry with 7 TDs. Say what you want about the level of comp but those are pretty crazy numbers for a guy that was essentially a fullback.

@@_The_Journey Seriously, it mustʻve felt like a scary movie. Everywhere he tried to move the ball, there he was. I didnʻt play football, how many offensive plays can a HS team run? Bc to me, 35 offensive plays seems like an entire gameʻs worth. Which would be even more legendary, you know?

@@_The_Journey As a high school football official, there are a lot of HS teams that run option offenses and barely ever throw. So a really good LB like Hawk obviously would have been in HS will have a lot of opportunities, but 35 is still crazy, of course. He had to have recorded a tackle on basically half of the defensive snaps in the game.

I was NFL bound until them Sebring Lightning bolt boys took out my knees in the Heartland Championship game of the 7th grade Junior high school round of 64 in 1997. Them good ole days as the running back for them Hardee Junior High Wildcats.

I just checked on his senior year stats. He had a 100% completion rate as a passer, averaging 60 yards per completion and every pass was a touchdown. Of course, he only threw 1 pass which was a 60 yard touchdown. He had almost 1000 yards as a rusher.
