Black and Gold NXT ‘16-‘19 is still my favourite years watching wrestling. The fueds were well written, the constant massive signings they brought in to elevate the roster, the prestige the title had, the constant Takeover bangers they had. Man I loved it. Shout outs to Dream, Balor, Owens, Zayn, Cole, Roode, AOP, UE, Revival, Ciampa, Andrade, Nakamura, Ember, Black, Shayna, Asuka and of course the heart and soul of NXT Johnny Gargano for putting their best work under black and gold colours. Really enjoyed those years

Had Triple H's music not hit during the Rollins Sami match the raw before Takeover San Antonio then it would be higher on the list, I had a feeling he would show up but it was cool to see him back in NXT. For me the Rollins return was ok Triple H cost him on Raw he's gonna show up but once he showed I was shocked he actually would appear since I mainly thought he would've called out H the night after Rumble

people are saying these things about adam i think because when he was in NXT he looked more defined and somewhat believable to fight against. But in AEW ppl say that hes lost that muscle and looks like a kid. Like seeing him next to someone like adam page or samoa joe or even rhea ripley who are noticeably more defined and bigger started hate as to how he is so protected. I think the hate is unjustified since smaller guys in wrestling with not over the top physiques isnt uncommon.

But if you compare him to the others he seems kinda lazy, just look at Chris Jericho, Kazarian, Christopher Daniels, Christian and even Sting, they are at least 20 years older than him and all of them have better physics than Adam Cole. So Ross, the thing with Adam Cole is that Booker T. came out on his podcast and said that Adam wouldn't get hurt as much if he put on muscle. (Adam isn't injury prone though.) The internet community basically went off saying Booker was right that Adam is a flabby little guy who doesn't look like a wrestler. Other wrestlers came out and told Booker to F off essentially and pointed out that Adam is living his best life without being a muscle bound fit guy.

You know why the Black and Gold got dismissed. Because NXT wasn't building main event roster guys anymore. Yeah you got your Bianca, Rhea, SP... but thats it. Think about how NXT started with Seth, KO, Big E, Sasha, Becky, Charlotte.... then it went to Indies. Weekly show was losing ratings against AEW with Cole, Finn, Keith Lee... a lot of those guys that were on NXT went to AEW and the ratings are ehhhhh. NXT 2.0 is gonna build main roster guys.

You know when you’re watching it live and when you have a feeling that somebody specific will return and in your head you’re like what if, what if, what if lol, KO returning was just that. We all knew that they were about to bring someone special and in my mind I was like “it has to be KO” and when it happened I lost my mind. Some other similar moments from WWE that come to my mind right now were Shane O’Mac returning, The Hardy Boys at Mania, The DDDDDDUDLEY BOYZ etc. But KO definitely had the best return in NXT history!

Not being a hater or anything but Ross you barely watched nxt because when it was black and gold, you didn’t really talk about it and barely knew the stars at the time. You knew about them afterwards and even a little of that was wrong because Apollo Crews literally was just a guy that smiled and could wrestle. With no character at all which is partially why he struggled on the main roster. The hate for Rainbow NXT is understandable but at the same time these are your future stars to watch once they hit the main roster. You gotta at least try instead of looking at the aesthetic and going “ew.” Again not hating but I feel like you’re doing yourself a bit of disservice
