These promos are fascinating to watch! Some of them are pretty brutal, while others, I believe, are part of a work. In either event, they're still really entertaining!

i don't think it was real, or maybe at least loosely based on his personal life, but the worse thing that i ever saw was when bossman went to big show's mom's house, and tricked her into exposing that the big show was born out of wedlock and calling him the curse word for people that were born while their parents weren't married..

I enjoy Jim Cornette's material and can see why he has the biggest podcast in a subculture that is filled to the brim with podcasts. However he does come on too strong sometimes, I couldn't imagine listening to him week to week. And yet whenever something big happens in wrestling like the recent Cody and Rock drama I eagerly await what he has to say. Anyways thanks for another fun vid Curtis!

He's just a hack who complains about everything and smarks love complaining about whatever is happening in wrestling at the moment. Guy who's gimmick was a tennis racket wants to trash talk Orange Cassidy. He's clownshoes and abusive to the wrestlers put under him. With all the BS he's pulled with wrestlers and 15 year old ring rats I'm shocked he hasn't been run out of the business or put in prison.

I agree with your assessment of Corny. His motormouth schtick is often based on an encyclopedic list of hack jokes that flew in the territories because they probably hadn't all gone around but then time passes and they all got old and he didn't get any new material. My opinion is that he could be a great manager again if he actually did the work instead of going to a dusty well. I can't imagine he feels compelled to do that though when he has enough of a following who want to hear him relive the glory days and hate watch AEW.

I listen to Jim Cornette fairly regularly especially his stories from the past and have a great time with it. I don't necessarily think hes a great guy or anything but his wealth of knowledge for wrestling and his way of talking about it makes me keep coming back. I do think the best promos are ones that blend truth within them, especially when the person giving the promo believes what they are saying. Would love to hear you reviewing events more often, maybe a Wrestlemania 40 review when the time comes

@@CurtisCandy I'll try to make myself more clearer, I like wrestling or pro-wrestling in particular when I can't tell if it is a shoot or scripted, when the lines are blurred that's when pro-wrestling shines, take for eg. the whole Rock and Cody thing, everything so far has been done perfectly by WWE, I hope they can end it with a satisfying conclusion, that's what I was tryna say. Also my thoughts on Cornette Spaghetti is he's very passionate about the business, that's why he comes across as, well a douche, I do listen to his podcast and can see why he can rub some people the wrong way.

Corny has the best wrestling knowledge imo. He knew the territories, he worked as a manager, and in booking for WWF. Booked/ran his own promotion (SMW which I throughly enojyed). So im a huge fan, there is literally nothing you can say to make me dislike him. P.s if you respond about the chicken joke being racist, enjoy your AEW gymnastics, dont help cancel the guys who made it possible for you to live a good life(normal AEW fans, I hope things work out; it's always better when theres legitimate competition.)

I loved Jim Cornette as a heel manager. In my opinion, if there was a competition for the greatest heel manager, he'd just barely miss out on the gold. Yes sometimes he would take and push his gimmick a little too far and come off as a caricature of himself. Jim is someone who will tell his opinion and doesn't care what anyone thinks. I listen to his podcast from time to time, but I can only do it in short stints. When he's unfiltered, I find him grating. I get it, he doesn't like AEW, he doesn't like Tony Khan, he doesn't like the Young bucks. Yes, he knows the business better than most in it today, but he can get full of himself. Many AEW fans don't like Tony Khan. Tony has some ideas that have potential, but he needs to workshop them through writers and producers who know the wrestlin' business. Tony Khan is a wrestling fanboy with a billionaire daddy. He started All-Elite Wrestling, bought out Ring Of Honor and merged their talent with AEW. I'm a wrestling fanboy, if I had a billionaire daddy, I'd probably be doing the same. My biggest gripe with Tony is that he keeps booking these big arenas but most of AEW's televised shows half the seats are empty, and he he doesn't buy the extra air time ahead of time for the televised and PPV events. He needs to start booking at the smaller arenas, especially for televised shows, because it's easier to fill 3000 seats and make it look like it's a sold out show with standing room only, and he needs to purchase the extra air time because sometimes the show runs a bit longer, and any air time that doesn't get used can be written off as a loss and gotten back at the end of the year. Back during the Monday Night War, WWF had trouble filling seats for a time, so they started booking smaller arenas. In the current era, WWE for their NXT brand, they book arenas that have 2-3000 seats. It looks better on camera and gets better optics for the fans at home when they see every seat filled.

Have you actually met Punk or worked with him, or is your dislike of him simply second hand hate from absorbing the nonsense people say about him? Cause Punk's not the troublesome one. He just defends himself if someone comes after him. He respects you if you respect him. People like Undertaker, Mick Foley, Paul Bearer, Stone Cold, Cena, Paul Heyman, The Rock, HBK, Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio, Koffi and Xavier, Cody Rodes, Orton, Bayley and Zelina Vega just to name a few have no problems with Punk and have nothing but praise for the guy. Punk was horribly mistreated and he simply had the spine to stand up for himself, and eventually it hit a boiling point as it would with anyone. Undertaker himself when he introduced Paul Bearer to Punk for the first time told Paul Bearer, "Punk is one of us." You don't get a higher praise then the Undertaker saying you're one of us. People who hate Punk either do so because they are stupid and just follow the hate bandwagon like the JK Rowling hate, or because they're jealous that they will never be at Punk's level. Punk has busted his ass off and made himself into a global star and still helps the young talent. Problem is the younger talent of today are entitled brats who just want the spotlight handed to them, they don't want to work for it, they don't want to fight Punk and get the rub, they don't want to tell a story and build their character up, they just want to be the top guy automatically. Punk's a pretty darn nice guy.

You can, of course, feel free to believe whoever you want. I haven’t met him, but my info doesn’t come from the internet, but from guys who shared the locker room with him. I don’t share those stories because I didn’t personally witness the incidents. If you like the guy and are a fan, that’s absolutely fine. But a long manifesto of what you believe went on Isn’t going to change my mind.

Oh no. Jim's hatred for Vince Russo is real. Vince Russo had the idea of the brawl for all because he wanted to see JBL get knocked out. But all that happened was it cost the company millions of dollars and nearly killed wrestlers' careers. He also, according to Roddy Pipper, had the idea of having Owen Hart make his entrance from the rafters, which led to his death

Ehat do i think of Jim Cornette? If he'd actually get his holier than thou attitude in check he might be able to actually be useful for modern pro wrestling. But he'd have to stop trying to want everything to be 1960s to 1989 and realize that things evolve over time and so should pro wrestling. Now if he'd also stop hating every single person that doesn't agree with him and stop being the old man yelling at the clouds while making his legend more than it is in his own mind he possibly wouldn't be such the fucking mark he is. Jim you had a great career but now you're known for getting fired from everywhere you worked, passing off partial blame for when companies yook a downturn, threatening or assaulting your coworkers & getting pissed at a drive thru window. And Jim if you're so smart and such a great booker then how come I can't find tickets to Smokey Mountain Wrestling?
