Both Orndorff and Andre worked well together, in an interview before he passed, Orndorff mentioned that he loved teaming and working with Andre the Giant because afterwords they'd go out and eat but Andre would never let Orndorff pay the bill.

Whether a heel or a fan favorite, Roddy Piper would always blow the roof off of every single arena he'd wrestle in. He was one of the most iconic, incredibly talented, funny, enjoyable, sometimes ruthless, professional wrestlers ever. He always gave 150% and he loved and respected his profession. Roddy Piper went through some really hard times yet he never bad mouthed his profession. He never disrespected his peers. He was a man who had honor and respect for those guys who would come after him and he never ever did or said anything that put his professional wrestling career in a bad light. Roddy Piper deserved so much better as far as Championships, Titles, etc, but again he didn't need them. He was legendary without them. He was perfect as himself. Hot Rod Roddy Piper in my opinion is easily one of the best all-time Professional Wrestlers ever seen, or will ever be seen. There aren't many who can equal him, and none who could surpass him. He is the best!

I remember the promotion for this. Originally Mr. Wonderful partner was promoted as Mr. X. Then when Mr. X was revealed to be Andre the Giant, Piper was freaking out and said he couldn't find Ace. Hilarious... great rivalry with Orndorff.
