WWF LJN Wrestling Superstars (A Journey Through History 30 Years Later)

After over 30 years without the LJN Wrestling Superstars, an impromptu trip to The Toy Vault has reunited me with these long lost relics from my past. We'll talk about my early memories of these action figures, a quick history on the LJN Wrestling Superstars and my current journey to once again to 'Collect Them All!'.

Awesome video and sweet collection. I like to buy them when I see them around. The only thing I still have from when I was a kid and I’m 45 years old, is my 8” LJN figures, I have 33 figures and my ring still to this day and I’ll cherish it till the day I die.

Born in 77' I'm lil older than say your older brother but my brother was born in 1980 and LJN figures was our life. I'm a tad bit more of a fanatic. The Saturday Nights Main Event would have me studying the TV guide for the few times a year WWF would replace the awful Saturday night live comedy shit show lol.

Born in 77 also and I still have my LJN wrestling collection with posters and cards. 90% of them are mint as I was careful even as a kid with them. I remember telling myself when I was 12 to never sell them so I didn't. Wrestling was 100% better back then and your right about Saturday Night Live. It was awful and was shit like you stated! Miss those wrestling days!

I had Hogan doll King Bundy doll I had Brutus The Barber beefcake mean jeen. A various assortment of thum wrestlers. I think I remember some of them were not WWF and then I had the WWF ring

I always wondered if the Miss Elizabeth action figure was the original prototype/design of the Wendyfi Richter action figure. Wendy left the WWF in 1985. I wondered if LJN was making an action figure of her. Former WWE Women's Champion Rockin Robin mentioned that back in 1989, WWE and LJN were in the process of making figures of herself and Sensational Sherri. At that time, LJN were already on their last series. It would have been cool to see a LJN figure of Wendi, Lei Lani Kai, Moolah, Sherri, Robin, Velvet McCintyre, and Sapphire.

Are you familiar with XOX By Random Treasures on Etsy? If you're not, they make custom LJN WWF figures and you can purchase them either painted or unpainted. Painted is more expensive, obviously, by about $40.00 or so. I've bought some of the harder figures to get, to complete my collection such as Haku, The Warlord and a Hulk Hogan with shirt at just a fraction of the cost that they're going for today. I also purchased figures that we never got such as Bad News Brown and Mr. Perfect! The customer service is great and the figures are absolutely awesome!! They have a Sergeant Slaughter for sale if you're interested. Check them out!! You won't regret it I promise you!!

The Sgt Slaughters I kind of went overboard with. Ended up getting 11 of them but have since sold them all off. The passion for the collecting has gone away but it was an incredible journey.

Ive been going the toy vault at the crystal mall in waterford ct for like 10yrs now. I collect vintage gi joe though. If u get in good with the owner dan they do payment plans for rarer more expensive grail items. Thats how i got my flagg , defiant, terrordrome, etc... U gotta check there ebay shop to but if u ever see a slaughter or some of the black card figures they might work with u

The black card figures are the ones all the people have around here. I think that they were in Canada more then USA or something. Bam Bam Hart Foundation Outback Jack and Billy Jack Hayens are the only ones I can't see that I have. Your's are all in great condition. where is this store you speak of lol

There's a handful of them scattered throughout new england but ive never seen any mocs for sale there so after i competed the loose figures i stopped going to them.

@@DonnyDunnEntertainmentI want all the loose too. I need 14 more. I got a box of 36 for $50. Great deal. Meanwhile the has the newer ones 2005-2015 figures for $6 a pc. For some reason he thought the newer ones were worth more then the older. When I got them home there was 8 doubles. Piper, Blassie, Tito, Mr. Wonderful, Hillbilly Jim, Junkyard Dog, Lou Albano and Nikolai Volkoff. So I took the worse shape 8 and kept the best shape put them on buy and sell for $10 a pc. I have 8 different messages in 12 hours. These things are in demand.
