WWF Royal Rumble Sega Genesis Playthrough

Playthrough of the Genesis version of the Royal Rumble game. Not as strong a roster as the SNES version but it does have Hulk Hogan in it.
-WWF Championship Mode as Hulk Hogan
-Royal Rumble as Shawn Michaels
-Tag Team Championship Mode as Lex Luger & "The Model" Rick Martel

That intro music. This game was the absolute best back in the day, I never saw my dad laugh as hard as he did back when me and him would play this. From the choking, to eye gouges, to ring out tosses, chair hits, to attacking referee’s, me and him had a blast.

Couldn’t agree more! I always tell my kids, video games were just so much more fun in the late 80s and 90s. There was still room to use your imagination while playing. Now the graphics are so good there’s no room for your imagination, kinda takes a little bit of the fun out of it. Just IMO though! My sons laugh that I still play systems like N64, Saturn, PS1 and Genesis. They just don’t understand.

I had the SNES version but we played this to death back in 1993. SNES had Perfect, Tatanka, Flair, Yokozuna, and DiBiase instead of Hogan, Duggan, Martel, IRS and Shango.

Omg the theme song on this was so iconic.... these classic wrestling games were amazing,,, and honestly, 16 bit music was amazing. I feel like anyone born 1990 and earlier probably are the only ones who can truly appreciate classic video game music

Man the memories no lie used to let the music play from my favourite wrestlers (Hitman all day) play for hours at a time . Really gotta get my hands on a Genesis again thanks for this! 🍺💪

This game brings back so many memories i got the game when i got my genesis i used to do 6 man tag matches all the time and i always used Taker, Shango, and Crush i used to beat the crap out of my opponents. Thks game was so much fun.

I liked steel cage for sega cd. I wish it had royal rumble mode in that. You got 20 wrestlers in that game. A huge amount for 1993 or 94. This game was great too. Wish it had more wrestlers tho. 12 for this game. But it had hulk and steel cage didn't

I remember recording the wrestlers themes on cassette with a microphone so my hasbro figures would have theme music when I played with them. I had each theme on a different cassette so I could use both cassette decks for each wrestler. I was so happy when WWF full metal came out because I had a CD with real themes on it. I had the wcw Slam Jam cassette but not many wcw wrestling figures

P1 is luring the AI to fight outside the ring, with the intent of winning by countout (resorting to pinning when the countout strategy fails). When playing the older DOS game, _Bop'N Wrestle,_ I used to kick the AI opponent to wear down them down in order to make a successful pin (game not programmed for leaving the ring/countout). Both cheap strategies are boring to watch, but useful against AI opponents.
