Tim O’Brien is a journeyman electrician with Adams Power, based in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. He is leading many restoration efforts at Yerkes Observatory in Williams Bay, Wisconsin, including rewiring the great dome. The main purpose of the great dome’s nearly 38-ton platform is to provide easy access to the world’s largest refracting telescope.
