I think these talk shows are like a performance, kind of like how a first date is a performance... you show the energetic side of yourself where you talk about what is easy to talk about & find ways to smoothly get around stuff that isn’t so easy to talk about So I think that there is a certain ?theatricality? to her personality but I think she’s got the audience for it and she is just outgoing. I think she is in a positive where it is hard to incorporate who she is as a human being into the relationship the media has with the public figures she is now associated with by marriage. I think she would want to say “can y’all quit dragging me for being accepted into this family” but I think that’s an uphill battle so she’s got a lot of feelings inside but is handling it as best as she knows how

The challenge was to make an outfit that represented American style for Karlie to wear to a business event in Paris. First of all, the question is dismissive. She asked for a business look and instead he made a look for her husband's family. It gives the impression that her business doesn't matter and all her value is derived from being a trophy wife. Also, it was reflecting a level of intimacy that was inappropriate. Karlie does not share about her husband and in-laws on the show. So the designer should have respected her privacy and not included her family into the conversation.

Dee D The task wasn’t a ‘business’ outfit, it was for a CFDA event in Paris. The brief was to represent ‘American’ design, and the mentors kept pushing to make it young and sexy. The top looks were hardly business looks. For his ‘American’ inspiration, Tyler went Martha’s Vineyard chic, which actually isn’t a bad fit for Paris sophistication and American roots. Yet he missed the brief that this was for Karlie, and that design aesthetic is closer to Martha Stewart then to Karlie. It’s also not a bad design sense for a more conservative setting, like with your East Coast in-laws. It was a bitchy comment, no doubt, and he suffered for it. The design aesthetic itself wasn’t that bad, it just was a bad dress.

I don't watch this show but do watch PR and remember this episode, and I now feel for her in a way I did not during the runway. That she got choked up discussing her voting habits and an intimate relationship should tell you something. What makes some people here cringe actually makes me feel for her - a person of integrity being put on the spot and taking advantage of the opportunity to "save face". As a very private person myself, I applaud her. The world is way more complex than Republican or Democrat, and thankfully so.

Even the Trumps were democrats. Donald Trump switched parties several times based on whatever suited his business agenda. Ivanka, Eric, Don Jr. the Kushners, were all proud democrats, but Donald decided to run for office as a Republican.

as messy as this situation is can we please remember that one is not their family? joshua has been a democrat, took action to support the healthcare of millennials and women's reproductive health, marched against gun violence and supported fire arms restrictions, and is a proud jewish man. while i share no loyalties to this man it's just sad to see so many people spreading needless hate against someone who is relatively harmless and seemingly stands against everything the republican agenda directly promotes at this time. i am not saying he has different views in public or that some of his actions regarding his brother aren't suspicious. but family is a different aspect to navigate in politics and we can only judge a situation by the facts.

I noticed that this with her throat happened in many interviews, because she was probably nervous. I think she is not natural in her interviews. She is trying so hard to be this bubbly, eloquent persona that it comes across as acting.
