"The Great War" ..." The War to end all wars" ... Despite the enormous sacrifice the name given to describe WW1 is a misnomer, it was a war to start all subsequent wars

@steveweatherly197627 күн бұрын
@@adamkuperstein6289 I know what he means. The music is too loud. And to you, sir; the "volume button" doesn't correct the loudness of the music... because if you turn down the volume, the sound of the narration, goes down also and the problem persists... Bottom line - Your sarcastic and cynical advice of "You have a volume button. Use it." - shows how much of a simpleton you are... Turning down the video's volume, decreases the sound of the very loud music... However; the volume of the narrator's voice gets diminished also. In short - TURN YOUR OWN VOLUME DOWN AND STIFLE YOURSELF.

turn the volume down and you can't here the voice over. then its pictures without sound . Shame as the commentary is well worded. David. N.Z.

In the early years of the WW1 the french had a bright blue and red uniform so in the forest the Germans were able to just pick them out I think think they changed their uniform in late 1915

Should have mentioned that the BEF in 1914 were probably the ONLY combat veterans fighting in France. These S. Africa vets. repelled and defeated far greater number of inexperienced Germans - they were the ones who 'saved Paris! Dont forget the Indian warriors who not just defeated the Germans THEY TERRORISED THEM! The Bengal Lancers. We had Sikhs as well. But these great warriors could not be deployed in trenches - horses cannot ride over wire!

They couldn’t outrun machine guns either. Just for show. The “colonial forces” (black and brown conscripts from the colonies) really are due much more attention and respect, as well as credit. Yet we only see brown faces in these films when they’re carting supplies or loading ships..

Mis ancestros habían emigrado a Chile.

@@XX-kz1nv To answer your questions about which country started WWI. Germany, along with the Austria Hungary Alliance, pushed through Neutral Belgium to attack France.
