Made in 1944, this WWII training film, "Panzergrenadier on the Battlefield was one of a series created by the Wehrmacht. Panzergrenadier are mechanized infantry units in armored forces who specialize in fighting from and in conjunction with infantry fighting vehicles or in this case the Sd.Kfz. 251 half-track. These are designed to carry a mechanized squad of six to eight soldiers into, during and out of combat while providing direct fire support for those troops.
The film includes instructions for positioning troops and vehicles, setting up defensive positions, and preparing for enemy attacks. It also mentions reconnaissance tasks, establishing communication with forward units, and the importance of maintaining camouflage and secrecy. Overall, it outlines the strategic and tactical steps taken to defend a position and respond to enemy actions.

Amazing, thanks for all the hard work you do, to preserve history like this, keep up the good work, films like this, actually show that they were human beings, going through the same training etc as in the rest of Europe, and UK. The problem I have found, since all the people, like my Mother, relatives, that went through all this, have now passed, is that people tend to ignore the Wars, etc, that have gone before, as they have lost all respect, thought, and care about what has happened, after falling into the same old trap, of complacentcy, again and again!!!!!! I am now 65, and grew up, respecting my elders, and veterans of WW1 and WW2, my family was in both, mustard gas poisoning my grandrfather, in WW1 and eventually killing him at a relatively early age, my uncles, on both sides of my family, who were at Dunkirk, and D-Day, and managed to survive, even though they were in Infantry. I used to talk to them a lot, as well as other Veterans, as a kid, they somehow used to open up to me, about there wartime experiemces, I suppose, because they could see me genuinely interested, and there black humour, where I could'nt stop laughing, because there attitude to the battle situations, was serious where it needed to be, and the dark funny side, was so ka Sa Ra, Sa Ra, I miss there stories, there humour, even through the dark day's. This is why I cannot stand or bear the whimpering, whining, crying, pathetic, hypocondriac, mentally deficient, blobs of narccistic jelly, full of greed, who call themselves human being's, and being led into another major conflict, like lemmings racing to throw themselves off, the nearest cliff. THE HUMAN RACE NEVER LEARNS, EVEN WITH ALL THE INFORMATION AVAILABLE TO THEM, AND WITH THE THOUSANDS OF YEARS OF HISTORY, THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE HUMAN RACE ARE FOOLS!!!!!!!! Steve From LONDON UK
