WWII History According to Americans: How I Learned about Germany, Japan & the Atomic Bomb

A fellow KZbin friend of ours, ‪@FelifromGermany‬ recently asked the questions: "Do Germans talk about the Holocaust? What do they teach about World War II in school? And is it okay to make a Hitler joke around a German?" And her experience as a German living in the USA, had me thinking a lot about my mirrored experience as an American now living in Germany. Do Americans talk about the atomic bomb and the impact on Hiroshima & Nagasaki? What do they teach American children about World War II in school? How differently do we remember and commemorate our fallen? Let's take a look.
