Thanks, 'JJK'.... I have a 1/35 scale model of a WW2 Jeep and this posting helps...with the colors = body of vehicle and seats differences, accessories = straps, star placements ( minus [-] license ), and weathering of vehicle and tires. Thanks!!

Yeah, I built the Tamiya Jeep last year and it helped to see the real thing and get a sense of it so to speak. I had a bunch of these clips from the airshow so I put them out there. 😀

Bonjour à vous. En effet , j'ai constaté il y a peu, sur une page youtube d'un Anglais, qu'il recontruisait sa jeep avec moteur hotchkiss ( il le dit lui même, mais on reconnaît la couleur bleutée typique dans l'armée Française). Jje lui ai fait remarquer en commentaire, que la caisse aussi qu'il venait de refaire provenait d'une m 201 Française. Apparement, il ne savait pas. On reconnaît parfaitement les détails d'une caisse ou d'un chassis hotchkiss m201 avec l'habitude. Mais ce n'est pas une surprise pour l' Angleterre car beaucoup de m201 ont été achetées aux domaines par des acheteurs Anglais. Pour les autres pays je ne sais pas.

Bonjour à vous, dans le film ( band of brooders) regardez attentivement, il y a plusieurs jeep Hotchkiss ou jantes Hotchkiss...ce sont des voitures ( salades) elles sont mélanger car l'armée française avait récupéré 22000 willys et les Hotchkiss sont arrivés en 1955 elles peuvent avoir un châssis willys et une caisse Hotchkiss etc...j'ai conduit ces véhicules dans les années 80 ...aujourd'hui j'ai une willys de 1944 et une Hotchkiss châssis willys 1945...

Bonjour à vous, pour répondre au sujet de la série Band of brothers , je viens de faire une recherche sur les lieux de tournage de cette série et comme par hasard elle a été tournée beaucoup en Angleterre et en Suisse. Voilà sans doute l'explication, ils ont utilisé des jeep existantes sur place ce qui a coûté certainement moins cher que de les faire venir des USA. De toute façon c'est une série Américano-Britannique. Quant à moi, je n'ai pas de jeep malheureusement mais je suis passionné.

They were stangers, but it didn't really bother me...it was there as a display. I was inspired by the airshows my parents took me to as a kid, so I'm happy to see parents taking their kids to airshows and the like and teaching them history; instead of just having their faces in their phones. And kids will be kids....so all good as far as I'm concerned.
