My father, Swedish as me, studied at the de Havilland Aeronautical Technical School at Hatfield in England prewar. There he met, and stayed friends for life, with John "Cats Eyes" Cunningham. I know that somewhere in what is now my house, there are many Christmas cards from him. Very Best Greetings from Sweden. PS The story with the carrots is still alive today.
