He says to stop using a USB-A port. No, some people need this, myself included. I only charge my phone with a USB-C fast cable when I don’t have much time, but for regular charging, I use the USB-A port because fast charging degrades your battery more quickly. I’ve seen this often, as I replace smartphone batteries for myself and customers. I tested it with two iPhone 14 Pro Max devices, both starting with 100% capacity. The first one, charged with USB-A, had 94% capacity left after one year, while the second one, charged with USB-C fast charging, had 88% left after the same period. That’s why I use USB-A.

My 15 Pro Max has 200 charge cycles. 100 percent battery health. I posted proof in my 16 Pro Max unboxing. I use 30w PD input and keep the battery between 20 to 80 percent. USB A is great for making sure you charge nice and slow and keep a good battery health as well. But you don't have to. The only thing that hurts your battery is going under 20 percent and over 80 percent frequently.
@lvaItix2 ай бұрын
@@wwjoshdew You’re also forgetting the heat generation-phones and batteries get warm, sometimes even very warm, with fast charging, which puts additional strain on the battery. It makes sense that the battery would degrade faster with fast charging, considering it’s handling much more power in a shorter time. During my test, I made sure to keep both phones from dropping below 25% whenever possible. Aside from my own tests, I ask customers who want to replace their batteries how long they’ve had their phone and how they charge it. The people who come in most often and have had their phones for about 1.5-2 years tend to charge with USB-C fast chargers. Those who use a 5W or 10W USB-A connection usually keep their phones for around 3 years or more. But for people who need speed, that trade-off might be worth it.

65w of input but a more accurate charge reading (AHEM ANKER), a 12v PD3.0 output, and a 1000 cycle rating compared to Ankers prime power banks (300 and 450) makes it quite a competitor. Grips on the bottom are quite useful. Also, it’s a lot cheaper. MSRP $179.99 compared to Ankers prime 27650 at $249.99.

Canada here as well. I just got the Anker today, and found out that it can't do Samsung Super Fast Charging 2.0 - it can only do regular Super Fast Charging. Already started the return process. Will try this Ugreen next. It should do Samsung Super Fast Charging 2.0, as the 100w model does it.

Me too . I had an Anker Prime 27600 mah with the charging station .its already returned. The same like You . I have an samsung galaxy s 24 ultra . It charging with max 35w and go down to 15w and stay there for the rest charging till 100%. I don't know but the preis is too high for what they do. On the paper is charging at max power but not in real life. You pay for what they say. Not for what the powerbank can do.

@wwjoshdew are you doing I've asked this question before and I went to the video that you sent me but it never shows exactly what's going on. Also like in this video you can't see what's plugged into what when I'm trying to figure out how to test my cables. I think it shows you with the tester with the mail USB type-c end up. And I think you plug a cable in to the left USB c port and you said that's providing power. (Do you mean it's plugged into like a power adapter plugged into the wall)? And then with the cable you want to test you plug it in the bottom USB type-c port? And does that cable need to be plugged into anything? Because I trying to follow what you did but you can't see what the cables are plugged into so I have no idea what's going on and I don't want to do anything to break or fry anything... 😁. I'd really appreciate it thanks man.

This thing is $105 and performs similarly to the Cuktech 20 at $70 or less. The Cuktech 20 has a real SGS safety listing unlike the UGREEN. It would be cool if you stress tested these power banks with an electronic load to empty. Get yourself an Atorch DL24P. In my own testing I found that the Cuktech 20 can only sustain 100W output to empty even though it's rated for up to 210w. At a continuous 140W load it overheated with 53% left. Kind of disappointing but it's affordable and made by a legit company.

Lol it might be that Ugreen copied Anker aesthetics, but: - they're both Chinese companies founded around the same time (2011 and 2012) - Anker and Ugreen offer comparable products, but Anker ones cost much more for no added benefit. The higher price is most likely due to higher availability and, therefore, demand worldwide - in this particular case (Anker 737 vs Ugreen PB722 power banks), reviewers have had issues with the Anker ones while no problem with Ugreen. By the way, I've been using both brands for years and their products are always extremely similar in performance, while much cheaper on the Ugreen side. I usually choose based on small form factor differences (when any) and price, as well as per-product review. One brand is not always better than the other.

@@alright24452 OMG. Please forgive me, I was replying to several people at the same time I had the wrong conversation up. They were talking about a different power bank I just did a video on, and you're talking about this ugreen. Two different things. This UGREEN is comparable and the same price. Similar capacity and specs. The Anker uses old cells that last for 500 charge cycles. the ugreen uses new cells that range from 3000 to 5000 before they degrade. So I can't say the Anker is better. Anker has newer PRIME batteries that are definitely better than this, but cost almost twice as much. So if it was my money, I like this UGREEN so far! Anker's comparable battery to this is the 27,650mah prime 250 power bank, but goes for 190 dollars. Would I save almost 100 bucks and get the ugreen?! For a very similar performing power bank?!
