As a jazz vocalist, I often have to hold back tears listening to the progressions and sound patches these guys blend for some of the most beautiful vibes I've EVER heard recorded. Casey Bejamin is a magical sonic GOD!!! Combined with Robert Glasper's always engaging chord selections, the pocket of Mark Colenburg's mesmerizing drum pulse and improvisation and the cool, relaxed bass walk set to complement the entire music gumbo that makes up this group, I can do little more than close my eyes and escape with the audience into a bliss that can be felt in every fiber of my human senses!!! I'm soooo glad to have lived in a time where such performances are available and free for ALL to experience and feel. God bless you all!!! I am in your debt for the pulses still coursing through my soul's experience for an art form that receives the least appreciation in the country of its birth!!! I truly Cherish THIS DAY for this performance :-) For the record, I purchase Glasper's music often from his bandcamp site 😊!

Robert Glasper is the most interesting harmonic painter I've ever listened to. He has an amazing collection of moods, chords and voicings intertwined in his mind and muscle memory ready to be summoned at proper time. I will get facial paralysis from pulling stank face every other minute.

Jazz is so dope.Once I researched its roots I found it was born from pain , frustrations , sadness and anger. The masters once could only vent these frustrations through sound. What resulted was like the Africans when they constructed the first pyramid. Conceptual genius birthed a musical monolith.

My wife put this concert on as I was walking out the door to an appointment. I only got to hear the first few minutes. that was almost a month ago. Because I am such a "foodie" for music, I NEVER forgot that rhythm. I went looking for it. and found it. it did not dissapoint the second time, nor the third......ninth....... I am now looking up all things Glasper. I've seen him twice live. I cannot wait to see a live collaboration concert. ........did I mention I can't wait?

I once saw Robert Glasper live at a Jazz festival and honestly I just thought it was ok. But, I loved this video. The vibe was perfect and the music was well done yet a bit unusual at times mostly due to the vocoder and interesting chord vocings. I would love the opportunity to see these guys live playing the same type of wonderfully crafted music.
