My gf and I just spent a week in Rome where the ambulances constantly passed right under our window and it drove us nuts. Advice: stay away from Porta Maggiore!

Our ambulance or "Aмбуланта or Брза помош" called in macedonian always passes my house. If it goes to North (either for Skopje, Resen or Bitola) (now in the pandemic) that means that someone from my town is with the Coronavirus and transports them either to Resen or Bitola. It's really scary to see it go north now.

They can be called for foreign operations, they have military training and very similar ranks too, they also have one of the four TIER 1 special forces in the Italian armed forces (G.I.S.). They also have pretty much the same functions of the police forces here in Italy. Basically they are military but with law enforcement functions too.

Italia Emergenza parlo di ambulanze con i lampeggianti rotti, delle pandine che fungono da automediche. A venezia siamo messi meglio, il parco veicoli del suem è nuovo e le "auto blu", kia sportage della provincia sono state convertite in automediacalizzate. Poi vvf e 118 fanno base al comando provinciale vvf. Su acqua il discorso è diverso in quanto ogni imbarcazione viene a costare diverse centinaia di migliaia di euro per cui si tengono messi di 8/9/10 anni. La polizia ha le barche nuove, forse qualche idroambulanza, i vvf non saprei.
