Weird coincidence. The letters stem from when people used to send telegrams. A meeting was held back in the early 1900s to decide which countries were given specific letters to identify radio signals. The US was given designators W,K,N, and A. N and A are reserved for military/government use, while W and K are reserved for commercial/public use. The W and K tell you which side of the country the station is, specifically which side of the Mississippi River. East of the river starts with W while west is K. After that the 3 letters can mean anything. Your station is called MBC? KMBC or WMBC, it could also be a number like KTWO or KONE. These guys just happened to decide XYZ as a little play on the alphabet since their eastward of the Mississippi. Just a little fun fact about radio stations and history. There’s also one in I think it’s somewhere in Missouri that has the code KRAP, so that’s also a thing.

I'm a middle school teacher. Kids get away with this behavior in school all the time, and teachers' hands are tied. Parents often defend their kids blaming the teacher or the school. I often think about the fact that they will have a rude awakening one day if they ever end up in court. Mama can't bail you out every time, and slaps on the wrist will be a thing of the past. Parent well everyone, and make sure your kids are being respectful to adults. It starts when they're young.

The judge says she couldn't see it, but the words he mouthed that they say were to the witness were "I'm gonna eff you up." I don't even really read lips, but even I could read THAT one. Witness intimidation happens to be a crime. The fact that he was dumb enough to do it in court while seeing cameras filming him shows that he is likely to keep his word if ever given the opportunity.
