Severe Storm Aftermath

More than 40,000 DTE customers are without power after strong storms moved through Southeast Michigan on Wednesday night. As of around 6:45 a.m. Thursday, 40,005 were without power, according to DTE's outage map. Trees and power lines are down in several communities, leaving behind damage.

Dte will now request an increase so they can do upgrades. Which they have been doing, and perhaps if they use the money they have to do upgrades instead of stock buy backs, they would not need an increase. I know they can not control storms and trees that fall, but dte should also not be allowed to request a rate increase.

There needs to be a government cap on DTE rates 🙌💯
