I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who has had a good cry to this song. There's been a few nights leaving work that I just feel like a broken unfulfilled failure because I do not enjoy my job and hate afternoon shift. Then song comes on, I start thinking about my daughter and the things I miss leaving for work at 2:00 pm along with the life I want for her, and it's game over.

I think the line "and in the light of my demise, I see my failures in your eyes" is kinda meant as when he sees people he loves look at him with dissapointment, and he feels like he is responsible for the dissappointment that he caused. Thats why he referres to it like "my failures in your eyes". Also, you would make me SO incredibly happy to check out Will Ramos' cover of Sleep Tokens "Hypnosis." It's so insane. I love the show and both of you!

This album is just so good, and the lyrics on some of these songs, Chris is a straight up genius and poet, I have never heard lyrics like that before, that's why I love it so much.

this song is a conclusion to MIW's triology with Eternally Yours and Another Life. Chris has stated in the past how he has a tendancy to self-sabotage his relationships due to insecurities, hence this love letter to those he feels he owes an apology. I believe all the photos in the frames, or at least most of them, had actual photos of Chris's past. the one he pulled from the drawer also had a really personal photo that was obstructed by paint, and really brought out a raw response. someone asked him on Twitter what was in the picture frame and he said 'only for me to know'. this was a very vulnerable song⠀....⠀and I feel we all got emotional after seeing Chris emotional! this band means the world to us and seeing such raw emotions via visually and lyrically brings out tears. I feel your pain Wyatt!

Wyatt, it's okay brother! Thank you for allowing us to see your emotions while listening to this. Just like you, music touches us in the places we didn't know we were hurting. I can't even begin to count the times when, the music would unlock a demon I didn't know existed inside...releasing the pain, and cleansing my soul, helping me understand myself while working through the darkness I was feeling at the time. Much love brother, may the peace you're seeking find you!👍👍

I like the precoversation of the reaction! Not just the fact that you guys talked before but the subject matter as well! I had never seen that picture of Chris before and at first I was hooked but the explanation of showing that that word can't hurt you and shit, that's powerful! Thank you for that!
