The picture he looked at and cried to it showed for a split second and it was an old picture done back when they made creatures of the band and all original members. So I think it means more of regrets and missing the old him that he lost or is a “prisoner” as he put it or all the regrets and pain from the past. The beautiful thing about music is it can mean many things for different people and touch them in their own way and it’s wonderful. I posted the original photo below

Wyatt - thank you so much for that raw & authentic reaction 🙏🏻 I feel like it’s such a rare gift to be capable of feeling the full emotion that an artist is attempting to communicate. It takes both a high degree of empathy paired with a common perspective/understanding to be moved to tears by someone’s art, to experience that surreal feeling of “wow I’m not alone in this” & “wow this captures something I’ve never been fully able to outwardly express”. If it’s not obvious, I was equally moved by this song 😂🤘🏻Thanks again man

It’s so dope to see how passionate you get listening to music and reacting during these videos. I listen to many genres but metal core, rock etc will always have that special place in my heart & be my favorite because the emotion is always so raw & no other genre makes me shed tears because of how badly the lyrics touched my soul & explain the thoughts I can’t put into words on my own. Great video as always with you two.

It seems like this song is about Chris and his songwriting. His canvases are the songs about his memories of pain.

Lindsay, the first verse probably reminds you of the lines from their song Hourglass: "And I fear myself as I fall away In a cold deluded sense of fate" because they are very similar melody.

We're the same age Wyatt! It would make sense that this song straight fucks me up somedays. I'm dealing with sobriety myself but that's awesome I've got someone else that can relate. Thank you for so your honest and heartfelt reactions. I appreciate it and I appreciate y'all more than y'all know

This song captivated me the minute I heard it just like it did to you, Wyatt. It may not be how I feel all of the time, but having someone put how I feel when I’m alone, and honest with myself, into words was crazy. That’s why I love the alternative community so much, I feel like I don’t always get that in music from other spaces even though I do enjoy that music.

This song also touched that spot in me as well! So many are going through similar or parallel events, feelings and phases in their lives. This is one of those songs that perfectly describes what some are feeling inside and can't explain to others. Music is powerful and definitely my therapy! 🤟❤

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who has had a good cry to this song. There's been a few nights leaving work that I just feel like a broken unfulfilled failure because I do not enjoy my job and hate afternoon shift. Then song comes on, I start thinking about my daughter and the things I miss leaving for work at 2:00 pm along with the life I want for her, and it's game over.

I think the line "and in the light of my demise, I see my failures in your eyes" is kinda meant as when he sees people he loves look at him with dissapointment, and he feels like he is responsible for the dissappointment that he caused. Thats why he referres to it like "my failures in your eyes". Also, you would make me SO incredibly happy to check out Will Ramos' cover of Sleep Tokens "Hypnosis." It's so insane. I love the show and both of you!

This album is just so good, and the lyrics on some of these songs, Chris is a straight up genius and poet, I have never heard lyrics like that before, that's why I love it so much.

this song is a conclusion to MIW's triology with Eternally Yours and Another Life. Chris has stated in the past how he has a tendancy to self-sabotage his relationships due to insecurities, hence this love letter to those he feels he owes an apology. I believe all the photos in the frames, or at least most of them, had actual photos of Chris's past. the one he pulled from the drawer also had a really personal photo that was obstructed by paint, and really brought out a raw response. someone asked him on Twitter what was in the picture frame and he said 'only for me to know'. this was a very vulnerable song⠀....⠀and I feel we all got emotional after seeing Chris emotional! this band means the world to us and seeing such raw emotions via visually and lyrically brings out tears. I feel your pain Wyatt!

Wyatt, it's okay brother! Thank you for allowing us to see your emotions while listening to this. Just like you, music touches us in the places we didn't know we were hurting. I can't even begin to count the times when, the music would unlock a demon I didn't know existed inside...releasing the pain, and cleansing my soul, helping me understand myself while working through the darkness I was feeling at the time. Much love brother, may the peace you're seeking find you!👍👍
