Like when people talk about riffs, bridges, breakdowns, etc. -- I have an idea what you mean but would really love a full guide so I could appreciate all the music you react to more. Vocalist is showing signs of losing voice for a few years. I think that is the real reason why they are changing directions. As a metal vocalist myself I can tell that these new vocal lines are way easier to "scream" then for example deliver me, boneyards, dark days or carrion

Bands change and evolve sure, but when what they're releasing is genuinely awful and generic as fuck, that doesn't apply. Take Asking Alexandria for example, I'm always down for change, but what they're releasing is unbelievably lame and sounds like it was made by any octane radio rock band, so this whole "evolving" bullshit that people throw out there is so faulty
