Love the Deus Ex shout-out. All-time classic, just like Robocop. And an Amazing build as always to boot.
@goatintuxedo2206 Жыл бұрын
not Deus Ex Human Revolution though. it's probably the worst chapter of the series. very repetitive, invisible walls and ceilings everywhere, cannot climb, gets killed in one bullet, absolutely no consequences from the dialogue choices(all tje same outcome) the AI violently reacting to anything you throw even if it's garbage, POLICE LITERALLY GONNA SHOOT YOU FOR THROWING GARBAGE AWAY ! Not to mention the redundant level design that they send you back to over and over just to talk to another npc. in short: HORRIBLE GAME.

Mine too! I have the ED-209 vinyl kit somewhere in a box (I've moved three times since I saw it last). I was going to build it as is then detail the heck out of it, but then had the half-baked idea to kitbash it into a mobile tank/mech. Think AT-ST, but with less chicken walker and more Diesel punk. Will need to dig that out of storage and attempt to finish it one of these days.

Don't worry abut the heated metal look. It was one of the things I noticed most, in the opening scenes, thinking how great it looks. I'm really liking you didn't just say, "Oh, look; it's an ED clone." The story, especially the deterrent factor, was a very nice touch

I love the clean scifi look achieved with the black wash. I’ve been trying to figure out how to build terrain and pieces for a SWN game I want to run with a combo of new and old tech, and was having trouble for the newer stuff. This really helps!
@wendigo16193 жыл бұрын
Deus Ex and Robocop are the perfect look for Cyberpunk imo, gritty and not too high tech but still futuristic. Though i thoroughly prefer grunge and grime. You seriously think a city takes the time to clean stuff on patrol... out here in the country the police cars are covered in gunk, well not covered but they certainly aren't clean

I got some diy transfer/decal paper and had some fun with that, it's good for logos, roundels etc, not too expensive. It produces waterslide transfers so if using an inkjet you have to spray with varnish but NBD. If you have a laser you can skip the varnish.

at first I questioned a lot of the super glue use on plastic on plastic connections, but having the ability to break bonds and change things up is invaluable for this type of build

2:30 I think you're right about about it being Transformers. It looks like one of the Age of Extinction Construct-Bots; the Dinobots from that line all had gear-activated mechanisms that look like what you have. Not sure which one it is, though; I can't think of any that had a blue torso skeleton... 🤔 4:10 Seeing you glue those dice together reminds me of the Cubes from Terrahawks... 😂
