Dom's answer at the end was such a great answer? I never expect straight people (although idk how she identifies) to really do their research and try and find out how our community works, but that answer (and some of what Kat says in cons) just proves that Dom and Kat really immersed themselves in our community to better understand us. Calling people using certain terms will be unavoidable though, since simplified terms, labels, makes it easier for people to discuss it-- it's part of language.

Such a good point that Emily makes at the end there about the dangers of introducing new characters with intersecting identities who are also villains because it’s such a thin line to walk between character complexity and villianizing identities. Although, if anyone were to do it, I would probably trust Emily Andras before anyone else to execute it in a respectful way that introduces new characters who are interesting and complex and diverse, regardless of their alignment.
