Thank you! Our turn around point was simply determined by mileage. We knew we wanted to do about 15 miles that day. The views along this trail are magnificent, and at 7.5 miles we were satisfied with the up close vantage point we had of Squaretop, making it pretty easy to claim it as our halfway point.

THIS HAS BEEN MY VERY BEST TRIP IN MY LIFE BACK IN 85 WAS PREGNANT 4 MONTHS WE HIKED 32 MILES AROUND IT , 2 DOGS AND HUSBAND AND A FRIEND.

How is the drive from Pindale to Squaretop mountain (Green River lakes trailhead) ? I'm trying to see what vehicle do I need to rent

Gravel road from what I remember. Depending on the time of year, maybe 4WD and high clearance. Sometimes it’s not needed just depends on conditions.
