I grew up in Rock Springs and worked in the ga fields near Wamsutter right smack dab in the middle of the red desert and you ain't kidding when you say winter is a real kick in the nuts also those drilling rigs don't stop no matter how hot or cold it is cause summer is hot as hell .

Wilderness our most precious resource. Do not destroy it for resources we do not need.

When I first moved to WY 1976 I Hated the Desert, after I got to know it I fell in Love with it. It has enough Wilderness Study areas in it, the most Scenic Places are already protected, Honey Comb Buttes, Adobe Town, are 2 that come to mind. Liked it when it would Snow up, on a Snow Mobile it was like a Great White Ocean. Cheers

THIS is one of the reasons why PUBLIC media is worth supporting. Commercial media doesn’t have the inclination...or resources...to do these stories.

I'm moving to Wyoming next year and I had yet to know there is a desert anywhere near Wyoming. I know they've got one in Eastern Idaho, we all saw Napoleon Dynamite, but this is news to me too🙂

Wilderness? No. So it can be neglected and never enjoyed?

I'm Not-Tarded it needs to be a national ATV center, with campsites and grocery store and pizza joints. The reasonable fees charged can support the national park system.
